I just don't care about these characters, other than Bennett, so this book, while a suspenseful listen, has me rolling my eyes. Shallow celebrities dealing with their individual personal issues while trapped in the church.. YAWN! The Alex Cross books were written in such a way and the characters constructed such that you could care about them: the victims AND the criminals. These characters? I find myself looking forward to the bad guys killing the next vapid jerk they have taken hostage. Pass on this one.
Just enough action to keep awake, but a somewhat disappointing thriller. Predictable. I'd choose something else if you want to be on the edge of your seat or after a big lunch.
Good Book but didn't hold my interest. Good surprise ending. Would recommend if you like James Patterson but this is my first Patterson book so I can't give a judgement call just yet. I need to read a few more books to get the feel for his writing.
James Patterson Total hit
His books seem to hit or miss and you don't know until you read them. This one was excellent
Sit back and enjoy the read
Another good book by James Patterson. He should however change it up a bit since all his books are very similar to each other. I especially enjoyed the narrators, added to the drama and supense, very enjoyable.
A little disappointing for James Patterson, but it is still a very good book. It seems to be a repeat of the Cross character (a single dad that's lost his wife with a "cop" career). The story was good but not his best. The Cross series is much better!
