im still in process of listening but its addicting cant wait to hear what happens next
not sure yet
dint wonderfull narrator
This listen is like being slapped back and forth in a roller coaster. I found I was always anxious to get back to listening to the book!
I don't try write a review as if it were the only review a potential reader will see. I write things that I noticed.
The phone conversations that the narrators do together are especially compelling, both in the story and because the nartators play off each other.
Michael Bennett, the protagonist, is the reason I listened to this book even though I had already read the book. I chose it because I have loved John Slattery since he was on the TV show Homefront years ago and he brought even more warmth to Michael. Reg Rogers, especially as
when it rains it pours
Michael Bennett with his complex and unusual homelife is a new type of thriller protagonist and a welcome deepening of this genre.
I really enjoyed this book. I read Tick Tock and after that i decided to go back and read the rest of the Bennet series and it was great! i can actually see how the character has grown. I will add this series to my bookself!
I just don't care about these characters, other than Bennett, so this book, while a suspenseful listen, has me rolling my eyes. Shallow celebrities dealing with their individual personal issues while trapped in the church.. YAWN! The Alex Cross books were written in such a way and the characters constructed such that you could care about them: the victims AND the criminals. These characters? I find myself looking forward to the bad guys killing the next vapid jerk they have taken hostage. Pass on this one.
Just enough action to keep awake, but a somewhat disappointing thriller. Predictable. I'd choose something else if you want to be on the edge of your seat or after a big lunch.
Good Book but didn't hold my interest. Good surprise ending. Would recommend if you like James Patterson but this is my first Patterson book so I can't give a judgement call just yet. I need to read a few more books to get the feel for his writing.
