The content of the book is great as are the examples. The narrator sounds very arrogant and from time to time, the author uses rather crude language. If you can look past all that, the core content is worth your time. A great series of lessons in applied creativity.
I am in a service type business (Private Investigator) so some of the things do not apply to the way I do businss but the book is great on so many levels that if you want to get ahead in life, this book will save you time and money! GET IT!
This book was just what I was looking for, and it's full of information and ideas. I've been working on freeing myself from the rat race, and this was just the idea boost I needed. If you want to save your precious time for what you want to do and not what others tell you to do, this is a great how-to manual. Thanks, Tim Ferris!
This audiobook will certainly give you food for thought. However, I think that anyone of my generation (50ish), will want to pick and choose the advice given, as some of it goes against what we were brought up to consider "fair." Learning the rules of kickboxing in order to use them to your advantage is one thing -- figuring out that you can drop 30 pounds, qualify for a lower weight class and then add those pounds back in just before the match is questionable. At that point, you're much heavier than your opponent. Also determining that if your opponent steps off the platform then he is disqualified and you win AND you therefore routinely push your opponent off the platform, calls into the question the legitimacy of the world kickboxing champion title Mr. Ferriss received. All in all worth listening to, though.
A whole lot of hype that is hard to believe. The fellow sure thinks a lot of himself. Never gets down to brass tacts on the details. I did not finish it.
This book has great examples of how we can more effectively live our lives and enjoy ourselves using these tips to revolutionize the way we view and conduct work.
Ferris lays it out with great clarity. His formula for moving from a hard working desk jockey to smart working entrepreneur.
While you may not agree with every element of his plan, I'm sure that most of us can pick up a half dozen items that when applied to our own lives, will make us more effective.
