I'm a busy mom who loves to listen to books. Mostly I listen on my way to and from work.
It had a lot of emotion and drew you into the story and the characters.
Holter Graham is one of my new favorites. Loved his narration and his voice.
I laughed and cried. It was definitely heart wrenching as the story progressed into Part 2 but overall a very good story.
I wouldnt listen to it again. It was good but it took me a little bit to get into it then when i was into it it skipped like 11 years and i was confused for a minute. Then the next thing i know, its over. But it was a good story. I would tell about it but its simple and would give it away
I like the love in the story and the good feelings it gives you.
I enjoyed the beginning when they were falling for one another
for the most part it was fairly addicting
The music every few chapters was extremely annoying.. it was at the end and beginning of some chapters.
Being a fan of many of his movies, as I love a good chick flick... I decided that I would give one of his books a go. I did like the story and the characters were relatable. I was rather surprised that when the book was finished, that I wasn't a little more affected. I wanted this story to grab me and take me along for the ride... but I found it missing in some way. Maybe I am just spoiled to some other authors I listen to more frequently.
Good book just wanted a little more 'pow!'
Love the story line.Had multi voice that sounded real.I felt like the music before and end of a chapter gave it a movie feeling. The way the story was narrated ,I could see the scenes in my mind .
Like them all.
One of the best I have heard.
Yes.When I had to stop,I could not wait to get back to it.
Part of my job is cleaning vacation rental homes so while doing so I love to listen to books! Mystery books and suspense are the BEST!
I thought this book was a good listen. The beginning and the whole love story part was really great. The part during the last 5-6 chapters went a little slow for me...but good overall story!
This book is beyond amazing. Toward the middle I felt like it jumped around a lot, but even that couldn't take away from how awesome the story is.
Nicholas Sparks never disappoints me and this was no different. As typical, it has a sad tone, but his novels touch your heart!
I really liked the beginning of the book. I loved the beginning of their romance. I wasn't expecting it to take the turn it did and after awhile, it just seemed like the author was ruminating on this choice that needs to be made. It's just really depressing and stagnant after the first 1/4 ends.
I think it would have been more enjoyable if this choice wasn't lingering for so long. I mean, it makes sense why the choice takes so long to make and that's the nature of the issue (sorry, I'm trying really hard not to give anything away), but I got bored really fast.
Maybe? I liked him as a narrator. He captured the voices of the characters really well.
Maybe if they were able to base it off an abridged version. This story really doesn't need to be told in more than an hour.
Wasn't expecting this book to be so depressing and the latter half seems to be written in a different style than the first half. Like, the first half has momentum and is uplifting and really easy to get through. Once that part finishes, it drags on and on and left me sitting there like "is it finished yet??"
Holter did a good job conveying the emotion of the story.
I can't lie I cried at the end. Such a sap!
Top 3 so far!
Travis and Gabby - the main characters. Great characters.
Entire plot was well done
Ending was very surprising. It was not what I expected in the most pleasant way. Loved the ending!
