I agree and disagree with the other reviews. Yes she wined a lot .. to the fault of her family. I could overlook all that but what turned me OFF was once again a girls words don't mean a thing!! No wonder men think a girl means yes when they so no. Over and over again authors creat women saying and acting strong ... like they can handle things themselves and then like some bad virus they get infected and they can't remember what was important to them. Their yes becomes no and their no becomes yes. They hurt their friends .. their values get lost ... they become weak willed and weak minded. That I can't overlook. Where are the female authers who will create women who will remain strong no matter what!!!! As for this one .. in the end she acts like she's been druged. She can't even remember a book with a flower. Women -in real life- like this turn my stomach!!!!!
Do u have to say anymore dont waste your credet like the end sucks and id rather read it i wouldn
Twilight, Watch out! If Rachel gets a movie deal, she is going to blow you out of the water!!!!! There was only one problem with the novel... It had an end.... I'm going into withdrawal for the next book... oh Mr free credit, please come soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a teen; my favorites series are Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and Twilight by Stephene Meyer.
Good if you don't have anything else in mind to listen to. I listened to the whole thing, didn't regret buying it, but not the best book I've listened to and not going to listen to it again.
I love books. I have never not finished a book even if I disliked it. I almost did not finish this one. The main character is selfish, snotty and completely unlikable, by the end I could not stand to hear one more complaint from her and I think I fell asleep several times during the story not sure and don't care if I missed anything. Don't waist your time, money, credits TERRIBLE!
It's okay. I would not waste the time or the credits if you have something else to listen to.
Standard rebellious girl out to prove to her family and the world that she does not want or need them! She is wrong, as they usually are! The heroine's opinion of the females who choose a more traditional role in her society is simply, disdain!
The basically hopeful ending is only mildly satisfying. I went on to the second book and wished I had not!!!
Don't bother! Read the second half of Wuthering Heights instead.
I had a hard time getting into it but before I knew it I was really enjoying it. Now that I am actually on the last book of this series I must admit that if this one hadn't been written the way that it was the rest couldn't have followed so well. I love all of the Characters and don't agree that Faith is too spoiled and as anyone reads the next of the series it becomes obvious that she hardly ever gets her way.
Addicted to books, especially audiobooks. Read lots and prosper!
The universe of this story is great, the narrator is great. The plot and heroine of the story not so much. Her character tries too hard and is way over the top in my opinion to maintain a constant attitude of selfishness and contrariness over and above common sense. I've seen 6 year old children that were less self driven. Our heroine will sit at the cross roads of each story path and decide to do exactly what is the most stupid and selfish thing to do and then wail and lament over her bad luck as the result of her decisions. The devotion of friends and family are not balanced by the way she treats them. I'm not sure I will continue with rest of the books.
My current favorite series is on hiatus right now so I downloaded this book in hopes of getting into another. What a letdown. I was never sympathetic to the heroin. I found her whiny and spoiled and very undeserving of the concern of the other characters (she never really redeems herself). I also found the plot to be very predictable. There weren't any plot twists to keep me interested. Based on the other reviews, I expected more.
I truly enjoyed this audiobook. I was completely captivated with Faythe's struggle to be independent and taken seriously within her clearly male dominated pride. You really understood her dilemma and felt what she was going thru. She made mistakes along the way, but you have to admit, this Tabby has great instincts! Go Faythe!
