This book continues on, picking up where book 1 left off, but is from Fox & Layla ' s point of view just as book 1 is from Cal & Quinn's point of view. They are getting closer to figuring out how to getting rid of the demon, but also a few months out from The Seven. Highly recommend this book series if you like Nora Roberts or the paranormal. I love a lot of her paranormal trilogies, and this is one of my favorites.
Didn't like the fact there was a different Narrator than the first book.
Part one of this series is great and Phil Giganti was an awesome narrator for part one. I have no understanding why they would switch the narrator with one that is just so bad. In book one Phil Giganti gave Leila a New York accent in this book you can't tell the difference between the women and who are the men. I am just trying to get through because the story really is good and I'm looking forward to book 3. Unless you get these stories at a lower rate like I did you are better off reading book don't waste your credit. The story is really interesting Nora Roberts really is a great author. I'm a JD Robb fan and these stories don't disappoint. Happy Reading!
This is the worst narrator ever. The females sound like spoiled cheerleaders. Just for reference if reading about a demon making you see a pitcher of blood instead of beer, she made it sound like a Valley girl who broke a nail, that's when I gave up.
Anger in the way it was ruined, I have read the book and enjoyed it. The terrible narration may have ruined it for me forever. When I went to my bookshelves and got it out to read I found I could because I kept hearing that whinny voice in my head.
I am returning this one ASAP. I try not to do return many but I want my credit back!
Marie Caliendo should have read the entire series. It is so much more enjoyable when all three books in a trilogy are read by the same person, even if the book is from a different characters perspective or focus. Her voices were so much more believable and easy to listen to. I wish Brilliance would consider having the other two reworked. I am one who listens to my books, especially the Nora Roberts trilogies, over and over, but it will be hard for me to do that with these.
A lot of the paranormal stuff doesn't really make much sense to me but I still enjoy the charactors & can't wait to see how the series ends. This narrator is much better than the 1st book.
It's a very well-written, well-plotted, scary, romantic story.
The 6-pronged attack against the whole group. Very scary.
The walk to the Pagan Stone at the end of the book.
Just any overall interesting book to read...
I don't compare. I just read for entertainment...
None were favored.
Be careful what you ask for...
