yea, it was a worthy listen.
The other books in the series.
as good as others.
magic strikes again.
Yes-becasue it was a fun addition to the saga and the midnight games was such a unique backdrop
When Kate imapled herself on the sword to save the shapeshifters on her team
Her different mannerisms for each of the characters!
Yes-it stared off a touch slow, but picked up momentum rapidly!
I rate this among the best series of audiobooks I've listened to and enjoyed. It is just so very well done...all around.
Kate Daniels is just so feisty and so loyal...can't hope for more.
All the characters "sound" the same when I silently read the book. Ms Raudman brings the characters alive. She gives them a voice, a tone and a personality that the written word can not.
I was very upset about the sidekick...that did make me very sad.
I loved that it had Kate in it and I got to see her from her best friends eyes.
Raudman is great!
Oh I have listened to this book at least 20 times!
I love love love Kate's character! I love everything about this series! It is rare to read a series that gets better with each book, but this one is there. I have to say this book is funny, and slightly dark. I Love Ilona Andrews and LOVE Renee Raudman!
She is fantastic! The way the lines are delivered are perfect!
This series is a must read, actually anything written by Ilona Andrews is a must read, trust me!
I love Kate Daniels it has all my favorites, strong female&male lead.Intigue,Action&romance.Kate is funny&the narrator does a brilliant job.I have this book on kindle&audio
She has made me buy all three books in audio format even though i have the whole series on kindle
Nothing comes 2mind
I'm an engineer that took all my electives in English and Art! Fantasy novels with moral depth and colorful worlds fill my library.
Ms. Raudman nails this main character and story line like none I've read. She must connect with Kate Daniels on a spiritual level. Without the synergy between story and performer, this series wouldn't be nearly so much fun to read!
Non-stop action--but with a thought provoking monologue humorously describing Kate's too-real feminan thoughts about various over-testosterone driven male characters. Somehow this neutralizes some of the far-fetched occurrences in a world where vampires with purple sunblock march merrily along with our sexy swords-woman, a shape changing frost giant, and several were-beasts in downtown Atlanta!
The fight scenes in the gladiator style combats that feature Kate stretching her blood magic.
This chick rocks--clear a path, comin' thru. (well it is a silly prompt!)
I love this series--fun to read, and carries you right along. It is very hard to shut this one off. Try it--even outside your normal genre--you will enjoy this completely different twist on the future and magic!
Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.
I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow. Mine are Charlaine Harris, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter, Molly Harper, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Deborah Harkness, Nalini Singh, Coreene Callahan and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Urban fantasy books are my guilty pleasures. Following the Dresden Files, I have to say this has become my second favorite series, and what's more the books get better and better.
If you liked books 1 and 2 you will love this one, the 3rd in the series. If you love Dresden or like Patricia Briggs, Tanya Huff, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and maybe Charlaine Harris you should like this.
The series has its faults, but as a fun read its plus points more than make up for them: you have - a tough but likable heroine, interesting crew of returning characters expanded each book, a back story which is unfolded each book, some mystery, lots of action, an interesting world in which it is all set (near future Atlanta post-magic apocalypse, which leaves the world swinging between waves of magic and technology.)
