I love this book and listen to it repeatedly. That is an unusual thing for me! Gave a copy in various formats to everyone for the holidays a few years back :)
this seems to be a story retold of the Tao Te Ching book.

If Wayne Dyer presented this information in a manner that was clearer. I was excited to listen to this book but found myself each time only getting bits and pieces of what he was trying to convey. He repeats "Do the Tao" over and over without quite explaining WHAT he wants the listener to do and why. I am very familiar with his and similar work and have enjoyed them very much. THIS, I was lost!
Yes, is presented in a clear and understandable way and MUCH shorter.
Yes. I am familiar with his work in "The Secret"
I believe the concepts Dyer TRIES to convey have great meaning. His presentation is odd and far too long winded.
I have a rather eclectic love of books. I know what I like and I tend not to be a severe critic. If I enjoyed it, it gets 4 or 5 stars.
This is a great book, and what I like most about it is that I can read a chapter or two and then not listen to it again for weeks before I Iisten to another chapter. The messages stay with you and you seem to learn something new each time you listen to it.
I love books that helps me grow.
Its powerful if you are willing to change. One thing I got out of it is not to let your ego get in the way of making the right decisions or don't let it control your decisions.
No, I have both. I like to listen when I am busy but like to go back over things I have just read so I prefer both. My husband only has one eye so he prefers audible.
It has changed the way I move through my day and the way I look at each moment in my life.
I have always loved the Tao but never really understood it. This is the very best at helping me comprehend the amazing Lao Tzu.

Please see ratings. The Book is excellent. However it is a PIA to use the ratings survey and if the book wasn't so good, I would not have wasted my time going through this rating hassle.
Warm and soothing
One content comment/critique and one technical comment/critique:
Content: Let the original words resonate with the listener a little. The author reads each verse from the Tao and then very quickly goes into his explanation/interpretation. Sometimes I forgot what the original saying was and would have appreciated either a repetition of the entire saying or a reference back to some key words/phrases in the original text.
Technical: The best way to listen to this is a verse a day (that way you can really sit with the thought for a while). It would have been nice if the producers had inserted some sort of pause or "Ting" sound to indicate the end of one verse and the beginning of another. That way the listener knows when to pause the recording.
