Listening to this on the eve of hearing of his death at the age of 75., made it all that more memorable
Thank you Wayne
You were a true scholar and a gentleman!
I purchased the print version but am reading it slowly due to the nature of the information. GREATLY enjoy listening to the audio.
It's my first real introduction to the complete Tao and Dr. Dyer's commentary on each of the Tao verses provides a lot of food for thought.
I've always enjoyed listening to him but he has definitely improved with age, more information and less performance as in his earlier years.
Too many to put here, but anyone who listens all the way through couldn't possibly leave the audio (or the book) without a great deal of thought about the content.
It's very much worth the buy if you are interested in learning about the Tao and the perspective of something written over 2500 years ago but still so relevant today. If this isn't something you are ready for, it's unlikely it will hold your attention anyway.
I have listened to it for years now. YEARS!
I love the design of the book such that it you listen to it one chapter at a time.....slowly......while putting it into practice on a daily basis. It literally informs my daily life and I love it.
I have listened to it about 1000 times. Each time I use it, it feel like I am reading it for the first time.........principally because it is ME that has changed...not the words. I actually use this book for a weekly call that I do each Saturday and we have been going strong for almost 5 years now! Enough said!
Principle based approach to living
Common sense approach
Not easy but certainly worth giving your best effort.
Great understanding of how to live your best life.
Great voice and diction
At this point, after spending years studying the Tao Te Ching and similar studies, I believe this work is one of the most important books I've ever read.
I believe Lao Tzu wrote the book on who we were designed to be, our full potential as humans. Centuries later. Jesus showed up as a wake up call to actually show us what it looked like to live that way.
Unfortunately, Lao Tzu's teachings were never adopted by the masses and Jesus' life was hijacked and turned into a mechanism for control (Christianity).
None-the-less, I view the Tao Te Ching as the ultimate blueprint for humanity, Jesus' life as the ultimate example of our full potential and Wayne Dyer's teachings (in this book) as divinely orchestrated. He truly is channeling these divine beings. He is a true man of the Tao.
Suffice it to say, this is the one book I recommend over any other, to everyone, for any reason. It's nothing short of profound. I honesty believe that if you truly live the way of the Tao, there is no room for any negative energy in your life.
