The main Character seems to be involved with a guy who doesn't seem to take no for an answer.... seem pretty standard but, the aggression portrayed and the way he forces her... No always means no. not themes I think should be promoted in society and not something i thought i would find in one of Nora's books.
not portrayed the relationship between the lead characters as being one that borders on abusive.
Yes, I'm sure there are things I didn't notice all through the book now that I know the ending and I'd like to go back and read this one again to discover them.
I loved how the 3 sisters became friends. it was well written and though you supposed there'd be a happy ending the way Roberts writes you just aren't ever sure until it happens. I like the way she slowly brought each character of the 3 sisters into caring for eachother. Very realistic for me.
I like the naration but it wasn't the best I've heard. you could not always tell who was talking by her voices, but it was well spoken for the emotion levels.
Loved the story. The plot was complex enough for me to enjoy listening to it. The narrator's high pitched, squeaky voice for the housekeeper and some of the cowboys just grated.
Start with a plot that is not predictable.
Start with characters that are not dull and predictable.
Just dull and predictable...oh sometimes abrassive.
The 3 dull sisters and their 3 predictable men.
Love hate relationship. Nora Roberts writes one wonderful book then coasts on the next.
Tess was my favorite character because she was real and outrageously funny!
She did a wonderful job with Tess' character.
There were many times I laughed hard!
Absolutely loved this book! It had a bit of everything making it a very well rounded book!
Say something about yourself!
Good, but not as good as The Witness or The Search
narrator struggled with male voices. Ben sounded like Olympia Dukakis talking, so that was distracting
violence was too descriptive, could have been toned down and would have not taken away from the story line.
Sure...it was a good read!
The daughter who was raised on the ranch...can't remember her name! Tough broad, but wanted and needed to fall in love!!
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
This is the best book i have listened to so far from Nora Roberts. A wonderful combination of romance, mystery and suspense. I just loved this book. Many thanks Nora :)
I would recommend it; however, I would have preferred one of the excellent male narrators to have shared the unwinding, twisting mystery through the trail of the Montana Sky. Nevertheless, the story is gripping, enchanting and worth every second of the many hours of listening!
The Witness and Carnal Innocence. Mystery, murder, love, deceit....all worked out by the end of the story. This is another great read from Nora Roberts!
Okay, challenging and female.
Many moments...hard to pick one single event. But, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey...loved the characters....loved the conclusion in their lives....and, wish I could sit atop a horse and ride through those pastures under the blue sky!!!!
The story was okay but the language was extremely profane and unessesary. The movie was actually better and cleaner. If you don't like foul language then avoid this book and rent the movie. In addition, the narration wasn't that great either. The book simply wasn't worth the credit.
