Tess was my favorite character because she was real and outrageously funny!
She did a wonderful job with Tess' character.
There were many times I laughed hard!
Absolutely loved this book! It had a bit of everything making it a very well rounded book!
Good, but not as good as The Witness or The Search
narrator struggled with male voices. Ben sounded like Olympia Dukakis talking, so that was distracting
violence was too descriptive, could have been toned down and would have not taken away from the story line.
Sure...it was a good read!
The daughter who was raised on the ranch...can't remember her name! Tough broad, but wanted and needed to fall in love!!
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
This is the best book i have listened to so far from Nora Roberts. A wonderful combination of romance, mystery and suspense. I just loved this book. Many thanks Nora :)
I would recommend it; however, I would have preferred one of the excellent male narrators to have shared the unwinding, twisting mystery through the trail of the Montana Sky. Nevertheless, the story is gripping, enchanting and worth every second of the many hours of listening!
The Witness and Carnal Innocence. Mystery, murder, love, deceit....all worked out by the end of the story. This is another great read from Nora Roberts!
Okay, challenging and female.
Many moments...hard to pick one single event. But, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey...loved the characters....loved the conclusion in their lives....and, wish I could sit atop a horse and ride through those pastures under the blue sky!!!!
The story was okay but the language was extremely profane and unessesary. The movie was actually better and cleaner. If you don't like foul language then avoid this book and rent the movie. In addition, the narration wasn't that great either. The book simply wasn't worth the credit.
i think an author of Nora Roberts calibre should be able to create suspense and even horror without the gruesome details of tortured cats, calfs, steers - and people. The story starts interestingly enough and could have been a really good one without all that psychotic brutality described in loving detail.
I wonder what kind of person writes such a book, such sickening detail of torture. I don't think I would want to meet her.
She's probably a good narrator but should maybe confine herself to books with fewer people. She had to resort to irritatingly screechy voices for some of the characters.
Cut out completely ? None. it's a good plot with a surprising twist.
Disturbing. Certainly not for the faint of heart and it surprised me to find that I seem to be one of them.
great character sketches, facinating discriptions. Wish I had read the reviews prior to buying, too greusome for me. Too bad my Ipod could not fast foward in the right places. Stopped my listening, waste of credit.
The recording was awful it was echoing and I was already suffering with stomach problems and couldn't sleep.
My husband and I bought this book for our road trip to Montana. What a mistake. Ms. Roberts doesn't complete one paragraph without spewing 3 different expletives, while my 4 year old daughter sat in the back seat. We couldn't have shut the book off soon enough.
