I'm a 54 year old mail carrier. I listen to books around 6 hours a day. Listening to just about any fiction genre. Just starting to review.
The sinopsis sounded so good I thought I'd try Nora Roberts again. I have to say it is her best work but it's very predictable and has some GLARING mistakes. If you write about horses you should know a little about them. A yearling Quarter Horse CAN NOT be ridden. Tacked up and some light ground training maybe but not even that much usually. Being ridden buy a man as large as the man in the story would ruin knees. Being ridden double at a gallop (as in the book) would shatter legs. It would be the same as putting a 4th grade boy in a pro football game.
No but it does not make me want to purchase any more Nora Roberts books.
Very Good (except the housekeepers voice)
She needs to be less cookie cutter. I knew who was cutting up the animals by the time she first got to the cabin. Knew it had to be one of the 2 at the cabin and Pickles was too out of shape.
I loved the book, characters, narrator, and dialogue! A great read! I was was for the book to end. I wish there was an epilogue to this boom :(
I like happy endings and realism that is realistic rather than gritty.
Engaging stereotypical characters, a happy ending, adult situations, too much drinking, etc. This one has a few twists.
good read, keeps you on the edge. some area are gory and hard to listen. over all good
The beginning was very confusing. Too many characters being introduced almost at the same time, couldn't keep them all straight. Was very good once I got everyone straightened out.
Plot line was good
Liked her voice, wish males were different voices to help distinguish them, guess that doesn't happen in audio books. I'm new to reading by listening.
There were many, probably when Tess decided to stay in Montana.
Good story, and great narration! Nora Roberts has written another great story with strong women and strong men! It is a romance novel, filled with lots of action and character development. The sudden twists take all of the "predictable" out of it! Very enjoyable for men and women.
Erika Leigh is a talented narrator, who understands and portrays each of the characters as unique individuals. Bravo!
long and drawn out story
the last couple of books have been boring. the narrators are very hard to listen to
Very hard to listen to
Another page turner from N.Roberts. Many ingredients in this story that caught me & kept me listening. E.Liegh does a great job making each character distinctive truly come to life. Fun cowboy/ranch tale with tidbits of city life too. True "who done it" to the very end.
