The explanation of where our beliefs originate.
Realization that we are a product of our parents' beliefs, but can change them to serve us.
This is my first.
I really enjoyed learning and listening.
It appears some of the previous critics are trapped in the "I want to see it first before I believe it" trap. It is actually the other way around. I thought this was a very well documented and passionately narrated view backed by scientific reasoning and experiments. It is the people that live outside the box that make the most headway in advancing human knowledge and development. Though I would have liked more on the ways to develop and cement belief in the brain (mind)... perhaps another book Bruce.
This is a very easy to listen to book. I found the insights of Bruce Lipton fascinating. You don't have to have a science degree to understand it.
I love the content of this book and I love the way Lipton narrated it himself in his friendly, conversational tone. I will listen to this audiobook many times over. My only regret is that it isn't longer!
Like I was relearning biology all over again! Loved it, very interesting and in my opinion accurate view. I really like how he reads it, it doesn't feel like he's reading a book, just talking to you.
I could make this a rather lengthy review but instead, I will just say that this book is awesome. Many may be turned off for the first part as it seems like going back to Biology class. But the first part is needed to support the claims made later in the book. And the claims are big, however, entirely feasible. Great book
I really enjoyed this book. Dr. Lipton makes science much more interesting than it ever was in high school. He also makes it all so easy to understand. And his explanation of why our genes don't really control our destiny makes so much sense. Like another reviewer stated, I could listen to this book again and again. The message within is life-altering.
Unlike new age spiritual books that are emotionally strong, yet scientific weak, this book provides scientific minds to appreciate the power of positive thinking from a technical perspective starting from molecular biology. Best combined with "Phantoms in the Brain" by Vilayanur S Ramachandran as neurobiology part is thin perhaps because he is a molecular biologist.
