2nd to Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series so far, but definitely a very close 2nd
The action and details behind counter terrorism I just love spy stories
Dick Hill did a great narration for Harvey. I knew Harvey was speaking without having to be told.
I didn't have extreme reaction per se but I did have a few moments of " oh gross" with some of the interrogation aspects. I also appreciated some of the humorous banter between characters.
Narration of the women characters could use a bit of work but really did not distract from the telling of the tale. Great story great narrating of the story. I can't wait to get started on book 2.
Great story good characters and fast moving
Put Peterson next to Flynn and Clancy
I liked the integrity of the characters... Not very much swearing Thanks
Love to listen to this man read a book!!!
Yes, this book kept me very interested.
The whole story just seem to keep me wanting more. It was hard sometimes to turn it off and go to bed or work because I just wanted to keep on listening.
I just loved the book and it makes me want to listen to the rest of the series.
If you love the Jack Reacher novels then I can pretty much be sure you will love these books as well. With Dick Hill reading this I had to remember it was not a Reacher novel, but that being said the story is well worth a credit.
Not buy another of these. The character is superhuman and proves it over and over and over.
Answer: No, I like mysteries.
Over exaggerates simple sentences.
This is my limit of comments.
I just don't think it matches the kind of story I'm looking to read. It's probably nothing to do with the book itself.
I felt like I should be an American redneck to enjoy this.
And I do own a Camaro.
I think he is an excellent narrator.
Please never put this kind of book in front of me again. I might want to kill myself.
A little more violence, torture than I am comfortable with, but wowzer!
[SPOILER ALERT] I started with the third/last book, and was glad I did because I
knew that some of my favorite people from this first book made it to the end, and I wasn't sure they would! Phew!
This is an ok novel, but not really one that grips you and keeps you glued to it. Part of that might be the reader used. This reader has a tone that would be great for old dective and ganster type books, but here it just sounds out of place. Maybe if someone like George Gidall read it the book would have seemed far more interesting. I found myself struggling with ignoring the tone so I could get into the story.....Book listening shouldn't be that much work...Especially going down the road.
Otherwise it was a good book for the most part. So if you like action packed books then this is ok. Nothing like a Vince Flynn or Ben Coes that has so much action that you sometimes feel like you just stepped off a rollercoaster after listening for awhile, but still it does have some pretty good action and grizzly outcomes from some local baddies who go way over the top with their being bad asses.
This is a great read. Action all the way through the book. Great story line that keeps your attention all the way through. Nathan and Harv make the book excellent. Love how the book goes into detail on every scene and action the pair goes through. Dick Hill uses many voices to make each character come alive.
Can't wait to listen to the other two in this series.
Yes. This was my introduction to Nathan McBride and I listened to all three books in the series in short order. I enjoyed the plots and the characters. The author's character development makes them both interesting and sympathetic and compelling.
Option to Kill and Forced to Kill, for obvious reasons. I haven't found another character that is reminiscent of Nathan but the narrative reminds me of Lee Child's Reacher series.
Love Dick Hill's delivery...he brings color and depth to the character.
Learning about the torture Nathan underwent and the compassion he feels for the victims he saves
