I love books!!! I've discovered the joy of reading and listening simultaneously. I've discovered some great treasure in some of the books.
Inspired, Anointed, and Revealing
Song of Songs (Denzel Washington) reading the words of the king. Powerful and very vibrant in imagery. The relationship of the bridegroom to the bride is very intentional and you feel apart of the relationship that is developing as well as the longing to be with the bride again.
The crucifixion is my favorite. Blair Underwood is very believable as the words of God in agony is revealed through his performance.
The entire story of the children of Israel in the wilderness. As you read the text, you read how they constantly complained and rebel against Moses. However, when you listen to the story in the Bible Experience, you can visualize Moses running on behalf of the children toward God seeking repentance on their behalf. What an awesome portrayal of a loving leader for the people.
The bible comes alive
The bible is real
The narrator did a very good job
Not at one sitting
The Books of the bible was acted out. With sounds, and music. I loved it! it made the Bible come to life for me!
I admit it. I was dreading the genealogies. They did an awesome job with the music and kept me engaged even when the words on the page were just son of... begat... son of... begat... The other parts I have listened to drew me into the story. I am reading along as I listen. I am loving this.
Love this audio bible but did find 1 thing I do not care for....while listening in 1 Peter, there are 2 places where current vocal music is interjected. Yes, it does go along with the text but I found it really distracting. You're listening along and all of a sudden some female breaks in to a contemporay worship song, and then you're back in the text. If I could delete those parts, I would. Otherwise this is my favorite audio Bible so far.
part 1 - 4:01,
part 2 - 3:31,
part 3 - 2:35,
part 4 - 3:24,
part 5 - 3:14,
part 6 - 3:55,
part 7 - 4:34,
part 8 - 4:56,
part 9 - 5:26,
Total= 35:40 (35 hrs. and 40 minutes long)
Parts of this production are quite good, but Jeremiah is not one of those. The background soundtrack is generally distracting and often annoying. It is hard to tell whether the problem is with general sound quality or with the choice of background sounds.
If you want to read the Bible but you have no willpower to actually start reading it, this is the best choice for you! Bible Experience engages you into each story. Wherever you are, you will zone out and transport yourself into a world you always wished to know. Get this, it's worth it! ^_^
I must say the book is a very good one, but the software to play it is not good you can't burn it to a audio cd as it said. I'm also not pleased with the with audiobook intro before the real thing starts.
If i'm going to copy my purchased product to a cd i don't want that intro on my cd, its a instant throw off.
