I have no clue what verse, chapters or books I'm in. this is on going reading with no book marks. If you want to read Genesis, Exodus or Levitcus, there's no way to found them. No titles to any books on this audio. I don't have I tunes so I can't change the parts. Nineteen parts with no titles. BIG miss!
The Bible Experience is wonderful. The Audible version is not so good however. The audible version does not breakdown the tracks by Bible book therefore you can't intentionally listen to what you want when you want and when its the Bible that is important.
Awesome audio book but download file has issues
Not sure but must be an a limitation with the Classic iPod and the file format as I don't see this issue on the PC. When downloading the file as one part it keeps going back to 11:20:43. Anytime prior to that is fine but stuck on Numbers. Will have to deal with 19 parts instead.
Other than that the reading is awesome and unlike the New Testament which oddly breaks into songs at inappropriate times this book works through the narrative appropriately.
Growing up I was a reader. From the age of 3 I was reading music notes, newspaper, any book. It didn't matter. Now as I'm getting older, I'm noticing I do still like visual but I'm going more into the audio as well. I used to read the bible all of the time but got to the point where I didn't anymore, except at church which is no bueno. I've heard of other audio bibles but I didn't want anything boring. So when I heard about this group of actors recording the bible, I knew it would hold my interest so I joined audible and purchased Old/New and Proverbs. I love it. I can listen to it at home/work on computer AND on via my phone in car or on train commute. Great idea!
This is my first inspirational purchase for an audio book so I can't compare it to anything..except maybe the new testament and proverbs.
I finished listening to the book of Esther earlier this morning and I've read that book before and didn't get all of that out of it. The audio works with my imagination so now I'll forever remember the story.
oh noooo...you can't listen to this in one sitting. It's too much information for that. This is a book one listens to and then re-listens to. It's information but in a fun way.
I'm glad someone put this together. My attention span is not the same with reading and I needed a way to get back into reading/absorbing the Word of God. Thank you!
When I downloaded the old testament I got many seprate books that do not have separate labels. They say old testament but you cannot tell what book it is without clicking on it. Other than this this is the best audio bible that I have heard bar none.
Yes! I plan to give as a gift to many friends! The Bible Experience has an beautiful production. The actors read the bible beautifully and the sound effects was awesome. Listening to the book enriches the imagination as you hear Jesus walking on the water and asking Peter to 'grab my hand'! You should definitely have The Bible Experience!
I enjoy reading Lynn Austin's historical fiction. Her books oh the Civil are awesome as well.
This is not your typical audio bible. As you listen to these they become alive and you feel like you are living in the story!
This is an ideal way to read the Bible. The sound effects are fantastic. The only voice that I find is a little low is Moses, but I think this was due to the fact that they wanted to show that he had difficulty with speaking. The sound effects makes the Bible come alive. I listen to the audio book as I read from my Bible. It is a wonderful experience. I now know how to pronounce many of the words I had trouble with.
Yes I would b cause its not boring and its better than reading although I follow along in the Bible.
The Bible Experience Reinactment
the bible read as if alive
the voices are excellent
the problem comes with trying to find particular chapters of the bible indexing could be much better
