This is an awesome book, told by the one and only Mabel Simmons, better known as "Madea".
Advice on life, love, relationships and family, told with humor, common sense, truth and only as Madea can......so many subjects had me laughing out loud!
If you're a Tyler Perry fan, or even if you're not, you'll appreciate how Madea is telling it like it is and always "keeping it real".
I love Tyler Perry and his character Madea. But, I didn't know how she (Madea) was created and where Tyler Perry gets his ideas for the plays (LIFE). I think everyone should read this book first to get a clearer understanding of who Madea is and what she's trying to say. Besides being funny, it's REAL !
I laughed as I listened to this book. Over and over again. If you are a mother and the kids section does not tickle you then you just don't know the meaning of life.
No really please write more, Mr Perry. I grew up in a small town as far away as possible from the hood, and Medeas advice was still dead on.
I laughed till I cried listening to this book. I am hoping more people but it so you will give me another dose of Medeas medicine.
I was expecting another play story as with the other works of Mr. Perry. I was not pleased at all. It was not a story of reading at all just... quotes and sayings. This was really bad.
What an absolutely great character!! She is a total hoot, and such a fabulous inspiration for the middle aged woman. You forget that she is really Tyler Perry. This is a great book and I cannot imagine reading this book over listening to it.
Madear simply tells it like it T I is. She's a
Benie Mac of sorts. It's not what I expect. Did not hold my attention for very long. It was typical Madear.
I would highly recommend this book. Some parts were just hilarious and other parts just made you smile and think "I never thought of it quite that way". Very entertaining and I really liked the way that the chapters were divided by topics. This i would consider as a very good listen.
Tyler Perry is brillant; he anwsers questions many of us think about but are to embarrassed to ask. Don't let the title mislead you this book pertains to all people Black, White or Brown. Because everyone has a Madea in their family. She's "Sofia" in the Golden Girls, Judge Judy. She's the backbone of your family. She's the person who's going to tell it like it is. You will not be bored. Keep bringing it Tyler.
