This book was OK but the narration was just so saccharine that it was hard to keep listening at times.
not particularly engaging and the narration was as flat as the story. there was no character development and the gal was so ordinary and pathetic in her life that it begged the question what he found attractive about her.
This is the best romance novel I've read in awhile, and I read them often. The story has real depth and all of the characters are very touching.
Thanks to the author for a great read!
The story and characters were so believable. Often with romance novels, authors go overboard with the rich handsome Hero. Walker was believable, which made this novel very enjoyable. So far, Irresistible is the best book in the series.
There were several memorable moments:1) Throughout the novel Zoe and Walker had their BONDING moments. It was memorable when Zoe realized what makes a great father and she asked Walker, "So, are you my daddy?" Walker said, "Yes" simply priceless.2)Gloria, the evil villain. In the middle of one of her evil villain rants, the woman has a heart attack, collapsed and broke her hip. DAMN!!!3)Namoi one of my favorites from book #1 returns. She kissed Walker and Elisa saw them. Elisa told Walker, "Kissing that Bitch"...You go girl. LOL, but those are my memorable moments.
I hate it when production changes narrators within a series. Cecelia did a great job. I know which character was speaking at all time.
I didn't intend to listen in one sitting, however I did. I wanted to know how it was going to end. And the story was very interesting not a dull moment.
I love the Buchanan series! This is my favorite out of the four books. The only complaint I have, I wish they would have used the same narrator in all four books. Once you have a characters voice in your head, it is hard to listen to someone else read. But I got use to it.
I am downloading book 3 as I type!
NO not the earlier ones
It did not flow
it was ok
disappointment then anger because it was not a good listen
I couldn't finish it
Felt better after I downloaded a Sandra Brown book and listened to it.
This was definitely a book I wanted to listen to all at once. The series is great! If you haven't listened to Susan Mallory before, you'll be addicted by the time you finish this book (and the series!)
I enjoyed listening to the story especially since I listened to the first one. But how and why would you change the narrator in the middle of a story. Cecelia Frontero I am not sure if this might be one of her first books but she ruined the story for me. In my opinion you just don't change narrators in the middle of a series. You are already used to the voices and it makes the book better when you can follow the sound of there voice throughout the series. Pretty good story but horrible reading narrator.
Little corny but ok
She wasn't a good narrator.
A quick, fun listen that completely sucked me in. I've never read any of Susan Mallery's books before, and I got the feeling there was some backstory I was missing, but it was definitely fine as a standalone. Reminded me a lot of Susan Elizabeth Phillips -- really engaging, spunky heroine, and good relationships/subplots with the other characters as well. I picked it up on a whim, and was hooked just listening to the sample. It actually made me clean my house because I wanted to keep listening! If that's not a sign of a good book, nothing is.
I'm a book lover. I call myself a booky.
I like all of them except the ex-boyfriend.
the little girl
LOVE AT LAST
I love romance novels that have children in them. It brings a total different fill the books.
