The everyday lives of our intrepid women sleuths should not be read consecutively because after reading eight in a row I now need a break.
James Patterson's short chapters make reading in increments enjoyable. His books are great for people who have little or no time to read. His novel proceeds with breakneck pace and surprises that captivate. A bomb explosion, a serial killer stalking San Francisco's wealthiest residents, the murdered of a beloved homeless person, and a botched jury verdict keep the action alive and make the book a fun read.
When I need a good escape Patterson doesn't fail me and he hasn’t in this book either. The characters have become real and I get to know them a little more with each book, but as I said above, I now need a break. I have to agree with others that they are somewhat formula books.
I'm happy Conklin has another interest.
Not my favorite storyline. Took a little longer to finish this one. The pace is sporadic..
She does a good job keeping you interested. With a good story she's really great. And if it's just an OK story she still does a good job. She saved this one.
James Patterson did another great job here. He had three different story lines going. You are not sure if they tie together are not. Along with the plots, there were personal story lines going on with three of the main characters. He is just a great author. Really enjoyed the book.
It is a good book, but not great. The story line was good, but at times the narrator read really fast, like in 2x speed and she is just not my favorite.
Fat Chick getting Fit!
The books remain true to form and highly enjoyable. The narrator has a lisp and it gets worse as she gets tired. I mean no disrespect to the woman but it is irritating to listen to. The book is so good one can bear it. If you have to time to read, get the book.
As always, I really enjoyed this book. James Patterson never lets me down. I never seem to be able to put his books down. Keep them coming.
Having read all of this series from its inception, this one rang true to the standards previously set. Lots of activity going on simultaneously with several characters, which adds to the intrigue. Unabridged, however, is THE way to go, as you don't miss out on anything.
