Gave one star review for the excellent performance by Scott Brick...
Wish I could get my money back for this one!!??
The name says it all. A book of lies! Superman meets Cain who slew Abel and was rewarded instead of punished and other biblical silliness. If you are a republican zealot, you may make some sense of this. But should you have a brain, avoid it.
Everyone else sums this up pretty well, but here's something new. The narrator, Scott Brick, sounds like Calculon from Futurama. At some points, he sounds a lot like Vincent Price, who is actually referenced in the text. Spooky.
I enjoyed listening to this book from start to finish. I usually on listen to audio books when driving or walking my dogs. I couldn't wait unitl I got to the end. It was very surprising.
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook a lot. But why give an original idea (it made me want to know how much of the superman history is real) such a clich? ending?
Brad Meltzer is my all type favorite author.
He does it again with book of lies. The ending is especially good.Scott Brick as the narrator, is a treat as always.
I heard about this book on the Glenn Beck program so I thought that I would check it out. It was really really good as long as you are not expecting a Da Vinci code. It is a little slow to get started but once it does it is a really fun read.
