I really don't want to finish listening to Lou Diamond Phillips which is crazy! But the subject seems to be just dragging on.
No but I would if the story is good.
I may go back and listen to more and see if it gets any better....
If this was shown as a sci-fi it would have been more believable. Too many looong ramblings about what makes up these 'insights' which are just out there. Lou Diamond Philips was however enjoyable to listen to, and helped me get to the end of what otherwise was just not that good.
Looking for answers or just need a new perspective on life and living it? Read this and change the paradigm you live in. Grasp new concepts on the whys and hows of life. I love this book and share it with everyone I can.
The writing wasn't complicated in its approach, which I felt was needed to absorb the 9 Insights. It's good to read this one slowly, or to listen a second time through.
As far as the narration, Lou Diamond has a complementary voice for this material, but I had a hard time focusing beyond the vocal impressions (his Swedish impression for instance.)
Beyond that, It was worth the listen.
LOVED the insight on Control Dramas and the flow of energy due to attention. Also had an emotional response when they found the 9th insight at the Celestine Ruins. Amazing book. Also, I just binge watched The Path on Hulu and Lou Diamond Phillips sounds like the Cult Leader in that show... I know, stupid impertinent observation, but whatever. Made the book even more spiritually and emotionally charged for some reason...
The book definitely gives us something to think about, and some of us will recognize steps we've already taken on our own paths. It almost seems as though a real message has been packaged in a less-than-captivating story written by a novice writer with what's actually a great message he wants to deliver. Loved the message, endured the story.
