Michael Connelly is a master of his craft and this book is one of his best. I am a huge fan of the Bosch Series but this book seems even better than most of the Bosch books. The narration was good as well.
The Poet is a well crafted thriller that is hard to put down. Buck Schirner is an excellent narrator.
The characters were well built and the story line was good. It kept me interested to the end.
Bosch, of course, but all were good. He did an excellent job of changing voices for the different characters, giving them each a distinctive personality.
I am a Michael Connelly fan. This was one of his best...well thought out, good follow through and very believable characters.
A few good twists that kept me thinking.
Yes, there was always something exciting happening. The story was never dull, not for a moment.
No i hadn't, but he did an excellent job. The different voices and emotions made the story very easy to follow as to who was saying what. This makes a world of difference compare to some performers who appear to have the same voice for all characters.
Great story by an excellent author. I am hooked on Michael Connelys books and have just about got through them all. The entire Bosch series and Micky Hauler. A few left to go, then need to find more similar authors.
I would listen to this again for sure! It is a great suspenseful story and compares well to other books by Connelly.
The narrator has great pacing and intonation. His voice was well suited to the main character as well.
I felt tense at time listening to the book, a fact that is telling of the quality. It was an appropriate response to this type of story.
If you like Connelly's other writing or books about fictional killers this book is for you!
Great Book. We need More books like this one. The read was great but I wished they would of used the same one for all Mr. Connelly Books
It was good, but not the best. There were a few things that were too incredible to be believable. Certain things seemed contrived to throw the reader off.
I've had success from other Michael Connelly books, but the narrator killed it for me.
Probably not. I put the book down after about an hour or two because I couldn't get into it. The performance didn't sell it to me, just very plain monotone reading.
Twists and Turns with Poe Mixed in!!! Connelly did it again!! Thanks
Fell in love with Jack!
