"The best of the 3 books"
This the best of the 3. Clever, twists and turns and a great journey. A couple of ideas which begger belief - but hey - that's fiction!
The book and the way it was narrated was brilliant, watched the film after which in comparism to the audio was terrible.
Quite complicated in parts, so you do have to concentrate but a brilliant fast paced story and extremely well read
This is an interesting book.
"angels and demons"
Brilliant, I was at the edge of my seat. What a wonderful way to spend long hours driving.
""Angels and Demons (Unabridged)""
Dan Brown, I know of him only because I ?watched? The Da Vinci Code, I?ve not listen too nor read any of this author?s material, but I would highly recommend this book to everyone wanting to be kept on the edge of your seat, just when you think you may be ahead of the game a twist and turn of the plot continues right to the very end,the exciting plot is absolutely fascinating and keeps one riveted which certainly did not seem like eighteen hours, More please more, I was instantly immersed into the world of Cern the Vatican and of course the Illuminati.read so empathically by Richard Poe.
Apologies to all the other listeners that loved this book, but a bigger collection of cliches, obvious plot twists and appalling dialogue would be hard to find. This is without doubt the worst audiobook I have downloaded. I found myself rolling my eyes, and remarking out loud to myself at the lazy writing, and sensasionalist reading style. Way too much gravitas on every line ! Complete twaddle, and not enjoyable , just annoying. Don't waste your credit !
After reading all those brilliant reviews I now feel like some kind of freak - I am part way through listening to this book and bored to death! The characters are so two-dimensional and cliched that I just couldn't give a hoot what happens to them. My first Audible failure!
"Better than the film"
The film does not really do it credit as much is left out. The book is much better as explains the depths of the plot and gives it credability. However, there is a lot to take in and it is not helped being based in Rome with much in Latin/Italian so this at times makes it confusing hense only 4 stars
"Good to start"
Gripped for the first two thirds or so but then I found the conclusion a little too surreal. Quite an entertaining idea, and very well read.
