This was the first audiobook I've listened to. I loved it. I couldn't stop reading and listening. Immersion reading is wonderful, especially for those who have English as a second language...
Elizabeth. She's strong and confident, and yet very sensitive
It seemed to me that she brings the story alive.
I, like others, have read this many times. This is the first time I 'read' it in the audio format. I enjoyed it this time as much as any other and the narrator did a great job! Just like the previous times I read the book, I was sorry to have the story end.
Passionate about reading, listening and widening my comprehension of the world. My favourite sentence: we have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.
I really think not
the story itself
After jane Eyre I though I would have found a great story again, but I really dislike this story. I can't finish the audiobook.
Really the narration was the only thing that made me able to tolerate this story to the end.
I thought Darcy was going to be more interesting, but this story just bores me with all the gossip and pettiness between the families.
Must be an old audio book? I didn't like the performance and the characters were hard to keep track of (although I often have this problem with audio books with lackluster performers). Wouldn't recommend it and couldn't finish it.
I chose this version of P&P over others after reading reviews, and I'm glad I chose this one. The narration is very well done, but it took me a little bit to get used to the thick accent and classic vocabulary (this was my first JA book). I'm so happy to finally understand and know one of the classics, and I plan on on reading a lot more of Jane in the future.
This is a fantastic book, as all of you know, and since this is an Audible Editor's Essential Pick, I had high hopes. Reader goes way, way, way too fast. Exceptionally disappointing. This is my 3rd Audible Editor's Essentials that I disagree with, don't plan on trusting these folks ever again.
This book is mislabeled unabridged. It is abridged. Other than that it is well done.
