struggled to finish it. slow moving with too much filler. most of the main plot was pretty predictable . the end had a little bit of a twist though.
Another spellbinding lawyer story by Grisham that prompts the reader or listener in my case to listen just a little bit longer or read more pages to learn a little bit more. Here we have a story of lawyers in a catfight who couldn't enjoy that!
I really enjoyed this story. It has it all, great drama, boy finds girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl. It is annoying, however, that many, more than ten times even, the editing is so poorly done that a whole sentence or two is repeated. Isn't there quality control post editing? Really? Come on, you can do better. Otherwise, a great, riveting story that's hard to put down. Enjoy!
I love reading but love listening even more. I listen while riding in my car, going to sleep at night, working on the computer, or just having a cup of tea.
I love John Grisham but i chose this book because of the length of it and the voice of the narrator. I will look for more books that Frank Muller narrates.
There were 11 instances throughout the story where a short phase or sentence would repeat and 1 time where you heard "end of disk 8". Great story just clean up the production
Book was wonderful, and the narration was EXCELLENT. I just finished a Stephen King book narrated by King himself. It was horrid. Grisham hooked me on this one. I loved it.
The story was great the characters were very believable it was a very realistic story. The recording wasn't all that great. The quality was good but there were many parts that repeated the last sentence. Not sure why, but you can tell it was recorded from a cd. There was one part where it was interrupted by saying the story continues on the next disk. Although these interruptions were annoying it was not enough to detract from the story itself. I recommend it especially if you're a John Grisham fan. Hope this was helpful.
Frank Muller did a wonderful job bringing this story to life! And the story was great all the way until the near end - without giving anything away the ending felt like a cop-out. But worth a credit to get to enjoy 95% of this book.
Say something about yourself!
This book is Grisham good as always. I liked it very much. Good boy, bad enterprise.
