periodically the narration would repeat a couple of sentences without my touching the rewind buttons. It's not so frequent that it interferes with the story but it is noticable.
Sadly this narrator has passed away. Great voice. The story was pretty good albeit unexciting. I had missed some parts of the story because sometimes I listen while in bed and fall asleep. I would try to back track but sometimes I didn't quite find my spot but it doesn't matter because there are no plot twists to track. Grisham is a fine writer with a funny sense of humor. Runaway Jury was much better. Get that one instead.
Too much build up for too little payoff. Which, indeed is much like a real trial but I come to legal thrillers to get away from my day job of trying cases ...
Retired dentist after 37 yrs & with strong artistic interests left intensive reading until my latter years and am having a ball!
I could not put this audiobook down. The narrator was excellent he story capturing from the very beginning and a real pleasure to listen to.
This book was so exciting and the characters were clever! The narrator did a great job with the voices and made me feel like I could escape into this story while on a long road trip down the coast of California.
Only problem for me is that the audio engineer messed up a lot. No less than 15 segments were repeated, including a "please continue listening on disc 8". Otherwise 5 stars.
