Retired dentist after 37 yrs & with strong artistic interests left intensive reading until my latter years and am having a ball!
I could not put this audiobook down. The narrator was excellent he story capturing from the very beginning and a real pleasure to listen to.
This book was so exciting and the characters were clever! The narrator did a great job with the voices and made me feel like I could escape into this story while on a long road trip down the coast of California.
Only problem for me is that the audio engineer messed up a lot. No less than 15 segments were repeated, including a "please continue listening on disc 8". Otherwise 5 stars.
I love to read, but it puts me to sleep when I'm still. Audible books gives me the opportunity to still hear books while working. Thanks.
The narrator Frank Muller...he always brings the characters to life really well. Great story line too.
Getting an inside look into the legal system....glad I didn't go to law school.
Well defined characters...I wasn't confused about anything in the story line. Frank was very good at this. Never gets anywhere near being mono leveled or boring when doing the characters.
Five stars all around. I really enjoyed this one and had no idea Grisham could be so funny! Just a minor complaint with the technical aspect: there is an annoying repetition periodically of a full sentence, maybe a carry-over from moving from one disc or tape to the other. But not enough of a problem to take away the fun
Yes, I would but perhaps in a year or so.
Well, not necessarily on the edge of my seat because it wasn't that type of story but it was extremely interesting and realistic. I appreciated all of the legal technical details — it made it more like a biography than a story.
How Rudy took advantage of his phone having been tapped to mislead the other attorney.
This book is much better than the film.
I own a small shop selling custom/costume Jewelry. I love to listen to audio books while I create jewelry. I love all animals and get very upset when they aren't treated well, even in fiction.
By far and away my favorite Grisham Book! Has both tears and laughter. A good lesson about what is wrong with the Health Care / Insurance mess in the states.
Good Grisham book, but not his best. Worth the listen. As usual Frank Muller does a wonderful job as the Narrator, its as shame he is no longer with us.
