VERY GOOD! NEXT TO EXCELLENT! The words flowed nicely,GOOD voice choice. The only trouble came that I remember was when the name of St.John came about. I was surprised to see that it could go from English to French to German without a problem. I wish that the voice recognition program that I had on my PC for typing a while back was half as good.
JANE was my favorite and closest to myself on many levels. I served many people in the 20 plus years as an aide.
She has a great accent to read not only for busy adult, but for children also. A clear speaking voice as well as a GOOD pitch for those that are hard of hearing. It was obviously a good choice to have a woman' s voice READING a book from a woman's perspective. VERY WELL DONE!
Yes, excellent quality, great story.
I love listening to her accent and speech
When I was in my youth, the portion about Jane's friend moved me the most.
childrens classics lover
Yes I would recommend this book. My wife and I really enjoyed this reading, it was clear and easily understood, but still expressed the characters and emotions effectively.
Jane Eyre is a classic book. I love the heroine's quiet strength, and her resolve to do what she believes is right, despite how it conflicts with what would be pleasurable. Her self-respect despite her low station is really admirable.
I think the voice actor, Susan Ericksen, was such an excellent choice for this book. Her soft-spoken performance, and her range of emotion, seemed like a natural fit for Jane, and she was a delight to listen to for the entire length of the book. Hearing the book read by Susan Ericksen really added to the experience.
I would recommend this book because it is entertaining and has an interesting plot. I found it somewhat cumbersome however due to the formality of the old english.
Sincerity, Ethics, Entertaining
Setting out to find her way in society; however, she did this on more than one occassion
Her master of diction, her accent, her abiltity to reflect emotions thru words
There are moments of amusement as well as reflection on life and ones responsibility and understanding that life is what you make of it and it is everchanging sometimes things run smoothly and sometimes a few bumps in the road but self reflection can sustain you and keep you moving forward should you choose.
I did the immersion reading, so the question does not apply
never heard an audible book before so no comparison
It is an amazing book and I now count it as one of my favorites. The experience of immersion reading deepened the overall experience. Ericksen did a brilliant job and I am delighted to have experienced this book through her voice and reading skill. Thank you and her.
The character of Jane Eyre sometimes frustrated me and the way she was written made it hard for me to comprehend her actions at times. However, I was captivated by her story until the very end, wishing her a happy ending.
The narration I found to be a little overdone at times. Male characters spoke in such exuberance that would in reality be far fetched for most females. But I found all other aspects of the narration enjoyable, and the few flaws were not so bad as to take away from the storyline.
I might. There were parts of this book where the narration was fabulous!
I was rooting for the characters through their trials.I was happy that Jane got help during the storm and in the end was able to return the favor and then some.
Jane was my favorite. The way she held her head high was outstanding.
No! There was so much going on that you needed a break to process all that happened. I was, however, ready to get back to it as soon as possible.
I found that my diction mirrored the reader after a while. It was fantastic to notice.
This is a fine presentation of a great novel. The characters and the twists and turns of the story come brilliantly alive. This has long been one of my favorite books and I like it even better after taking in the audiobook.
