Well read. What a great story about imagination, friendship, and curiosity.
Highly recommended but screen one chapter for references to alcoholism.
The entire story. Beauty, love, internal freedom and strength. Perfection.
"The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" for the magic of it all.
I have not listened to any of his performances before. I prefer to listen to a male reading voice but just did not warm to this one.
My heart moves with this book.
I loved this book. I loved reading it again as a grown up and being reminded how very silly it is to be a grown up and how very magical it is to think like a child. It's magical and insightful, funny and brilliant, very small but very VERY large, and it will take up a big space in your heart and fill it with love and sadness and beauty and simplicity and joy. The narrator is perfect with his soft voice that seems somehow full of wisdom with compassion and kindness. A+

Worth the brief time required; even thought a bit muddled in the middle. The last section more than makes up for any earlier lethargy with truisms delightful to unravel and apply.
This was the authors last book, I believe, as he was shot down and killed by German planes during WWII. 😱😱😱😱
gd story a really legend .cant say anything more.hard to explain myst read item read it now
I love literature, but especially children's lit and the Victorian novel. I'm also trying to love American literature (one novel at a time).
I have already recommended this book to several friends. It's a light, short story that at once, doesn't take itself too seriously, but also makes you think about big concepts like mortality, morality, what it means to be loved, etc.
The introduction/first chapter is one of my favorites. It's very post-modern and makes you chuckle.
His voice for the title character was great. I also like the pace of his voice. It was very intentional where he decided to pause or speak more quickly, etc.
