I love literature, but especially children's lit and the Victorian novel. I'm also trying to love American literature (one novel at a time).
I have already recommended this book to several friends. It's a light, short story that at once, doesn't take itself too seriously, but also makes you think about big concepts like mortality, morality, what it means to be loved, etc.
The introduction/first chapter is one of my favorites. It's very post-modern and makes you chuckle.
His voice for the title character was great. I also like the pace of his voice. It was very intentional where he decided to pause or speak more quickly, etc.
came as a recommendation, I'm so happy it did. fun, lighthearted, comical and will pull on your heart strings. every emotion felt balled in one book. loved it!
There are amazing insights on how we should be making those things that are most important to us the focus of our attention. I wait with building anticipation another translation of the story into a movie format.
I love this book. It may be a childs book but it reminds you of the importance of curiosity and imagination that this world is beautiful and that the important things in life are not what you can always see.
Its like having your parents reading the book. Its help to fill more like a infant.
the fox chapter
the characters voices
No, but the fox chapter always move me
An inspiring, profound & timeless story that provokes thought and emotions and reminds us of our humanity
As an audiobook you loose the magnificence of its illustrations so a hard copy is also essential.
