No. I think the both editions are wonderful. But the audiobook allows the reader to travel more freely through the world of imagination than the printed version. And as the audio you can become a child again ... remembering like is to have someone read you a story before bed.
I think there are so many good moments. Each part of the story 'brings us a lesson, but I think the latter is the most important, since we can't say goodbye to people we like. But the idea that they are living elsewhere can be comforting.
It's so hard to say... when I was a child, and listening The Little Principe, I loved when he talks with the flower, and hate the final. I thought, why can i go to this planet and back to visit the pilot?
Now, as a adult I have another interpretation, and I think the beginning, of the story when the narrator describes his design, and adults do not comprendem, taking him to isolate themselves, some quite intriguing. I love the end too, as I now understand differently the departure of the Little Prince.
The book is a classic. Everyone should have the opportunity to read it and reread childhood years later. A book written for children, which brings a deeper meaning for adults. The book shows us that as we grow, we forget the simplest things are so important how our concerns in adulthood.
I like when a children's story can help an adult see the absurdity of the things we often find so important. This book has such a light humor about it, even with it's ending.
Draw me a sheep.
My 5 year old loves audio books and though this wasn't one of her favorites the added bonus of being able to fully enjoy it myself mad this a great purchase. The narrator of the story was just right for this book.
This is one of my favorite "lighter listens". I'm not much of novel reader, but I do like the simplicity of children's books though I rarely read them. I read Le Petit Prince in french while in high school but don't remember getting as much out of the story then as I have 20 years later.
The Lesson by Carol Pearson. I doubt it's an audiobook, and it's significantly shorter, but it's a wonderful story.
He did the voices so well. And I could visualize the story as it was being told.
... if only I could be as creative as the little prince I might come up with an appropriate tag line :).
The narrator reads or rather tells this story in a manner that lets you forget it is a book being read......It seems like he is right here reading a bedtime story. This classic book is a wonderful fantasy that says so much about us as we become adults and often lose much of our imagination. A reread or relisten of this book is mandatory for all adults children. I recommend it to all adults and recommend after reading it that the adults read it to children.
How simple and easy to read...
We listened together ... My children and I!
It was an amazing experience.
Say something about yourself!
Yes, its a great and motional story, so i would recommend it.
Where he was going from planet to planet to visit different kind of people.
He have a nice voice, and he changed his voice when i talked as the little prince.
No extreme reaction, but it made me think.
It would have been nice if i could have seen the drawings he had made.
It was full of life lesson that you wished you could have gotten as a kid. It was a wonderful story.
The perspective of the Little Prince. He gives us an honest overview of the adult world
The Ending, which is all I will say without giving spoilers
I cried at the end of the story. My kids did not get why, I do think one day however, they will. For now, it was just a good story, for me it was so much more. This would be a good story for child who has lost a loved one, it might them to put their lost in perspective.
I have never read a story so sweet and entertaint as this... the little princes was part of my class reading literature in high school and still remains as my favorite..... good job for the narrator!!
A Little Prince is a wonderful story of a young boy who finds himself on earth. It is a beautiful reminder to adults about what is more important in life. The reader was wonderful and I am aiming to review this story once a month for the message shared is essential.
Yes, I love the story and it is great listening to the story for a change
No, this was the first.
Sometimes hapy and sometimes sad.
I could not go back to listen to some parts again because each time I tried to go back, it went to the beginning. Also you can not read, only listen. I would have liked to also read and not only liste.
