This book was incredible, I had to force myself to stop listening. I think it ranks right up there with one of my all-time favorites- The Secret Life of Bees, which was also narrated by Jenna Lamia. I loved the narrators.
I am only about halfway done listening to this book and I am already sad because I know it is going to come to an end too soon. This was worth the credit and then some.
The audio version with the different voices and accents added an entire dimension to the story. I felt like I was listening to the characters. They really came to life.
After listening to this audio book I went into sam's club to purchase a copy to send to my best friend out in California. While getting the book I noticed a black woman sitting in a wheelchair looking at some books and I went over to her and asked her if she has read this book?, she saw the book and said YES!, both of us instantly connected and talked about it like best friends. i am white and have always found it awkward talking with black women because of the cultural differences. Thank you Miss Stockett for writing this book. This book is going to bring women together, black and white. i reccomend it to all women!
I wish there were more audible books by Kathryn Stockett. I would love to listen to more of her work. I loved this book.
I have listened to "The Help" three times now and enjoyed it just as much the 3rd time as the 1st. Catching additional bits of detail each time. The narrators are absolutely great and very easy to listen to and understand.
