This was a really easy book to listen to. I'm just trying to get my busniss of the ground, and this book really gave me some great ideas for new market strategy to put into my business plan. I highly recomend it for anyone in this situation, or for anyone looking for new ways to make a profit in their existing business.
Clever Story Teaching
Just a great extension to listening to Jim Rohn tapes.
When they talk about the Coca Cola business model - Light bulb moment
I do the the imagery when they describe the sunlight as the stand at the window in the skyscraper office window. I could really see it
Helped me run my business better and understand how my clients run there's, or run it better.
After being in business for the past 12 years and reading and listening to a lot of business building material, i thought I had heard it all.
Then I listen to the art of profitability.
This book will truly expand the growth of your business with actually methods.
9/10 from me.
I have heard the term business model many times through out my career and have always felt a bit mysified by the term. This book helps you understand what that means and how to think about the general problem of making a profit.
I have listened to it twice and am very sure I will do so twice more before year end. Great book
The concept was good. But a fiction writer this guy is not.
I think it is still worth listening to, however. Slywotzky is a great thinker. The format is actually useful. The ideas are eye-opening. It's hard to look at businesses from now on with out categorizing them. I highly recommend this book, and will be looking for more books from this author.
This is really good book, and it has been presented well. It gets you to think differently about how to create more profit in your organization.
I hate to say this because I really wanted this book to work. But, this was without any doubt the worst presentation of material I am yet to hear. Spend 20 minutes of your time listening to utterly dreadful writing to get to 60 seconds of real subject matter? Then you are left feeling incomplete because the author goes on with more useless chatter without spending the time to even minimally substantiate that which he has asserted???
There are too many excellent choices here on Audible to waste your time with this wreck..
This book could have been read in half an hour as the book is filled with adverbs and adjectives of peoples emotions and thinking process.
Aside all the verbosity, the core content is good and has some well known examples of how companies make their money e.g. Intel, Coca Cola
I do not recommend this book to anyone who is time conscious of their reading
