You wonder if this stuff is true, but when you get to the end, you find all these stories that people tell about how reading the book changed their lives. This book is about healing and about how you don't need to depend on typical material means to be healed. God is really Love and by understanding the principles of how Jesus healed, real people nowadays can be healed too. This book takes close listening, but it is full of phrases that stay with you and if you think about them, it changes the whole way you think. I recommend this book for anyone who is a searcher for something better than the current health care situation.
I will soon be eighty one years young. I have had a very interesting life learning from it as well as enjoying it. I just published a book.
Over the past years I have read or have had read to me the text of this book many times. This was the first time that I read the book from start to end. I found doing so gave me a much better understanding of what the author wrote. I feel now thqt I better understand what I have taken as well have not taken from her writings and teachings.
Maybe you've read books like The Secret or works by Deepak Chopra, but this book delves even deeper into metaphysical, spiritual ideas. It's Bible and Christian-based, but raises the ideas about man's relationship to God to a whole new level. It takes some concentration to listen to, but is worthwhile.
I write my reviews under my wife Karen's account. Retired USN Russian linguist/analyst; actor; director; producer. Biography & History focus
It helps to actually read the book before posting an obviously uninformed review. This book is absolutely nothing BUT Christian thought.
This book has been acknowledged by the enlightened mind as a path to understanding what Christianity is really about. The material in this book, though Christian in form, is the perennial message of God and His salvation!
My daily commute time literally hijacked any spare time for reading, and then, AUDIBLE.
This book is a sheer classic for mystical, cerebral types that can appreciate profound ideas!
I love listening to this book. I grew up reading it never to imagine a time such as we live In, would come to be able to listen to this book read aloud. It makes it easier for me to understand.
I don't like to reread books, but this book, which unlocks the Bible and makes it usable, is one that I study every day. The first chapter is a practical guide on how to pray. The final chapter, Fruitage, is 100 pages of testimonies from people who were healed just by studying this book.
This would be one of my selections if I were on a deserted island and had to choose just five books that I could have.
It is well read. There are a variety of readers so I don't get bored. They have strong analytical reading skills. The vocabulary is not always easy and I've found their pronunciation perfect.
I have been a Christian Scientist for many years and have been healed a number of times—of debilitating headaches, serious burns on three different occasions and the flu. About two years ago, I was instantaneously healed of a fractured ankle after reading the chapter "Footsteps of Truth" in this wonderful book.
Last night, as I was listening—as it is a book one must give serious study—I was filled with wonder at the love Mary Baker Eddy had for mankind, to write this book and to endure all she did to bring forth her "little book" that those who were ready for its message might benefit from it.
I am well-aware there are many who do not believe that metaphysical healing is possible, but disbelief is of no account to those who have experienced it.
For those put off by the word "Christian", this book—written by a woman who truly lived "love for all"—transcends the perverse brand of Christianity espoused by so many today who clearly have no idea what it really means.
