He had a bad day, I know he can perform much better, this is or needs a redo
I endured the narrator to get the story it was tough, but I had too. Can't read and drive.
Not this version , i prefer the unabridged version so i dont miss the details of the story.
Loved reading terrys books thought I would download one and give it a listen. Wasn't bad but It just didn't come to life for me like it did when I read it.
I love Terry Brook's books, especially the Shannara series. However, the choice of narators for her shorter books ruins the book itself. The narator cannot pronounce the same word the same way twice. On top of that, his inflections throughout the book are all at the wrong places. He makes the book miserable to listen to. I wish Terry Brooks would use the same narator for her shorter books as she uses for the longer ones.
I agree that it is always better to have the unabridged work. Still, the Heritage series in this format gives you main points of the story, and I find it (and the narrator)better than some I have listened to. My biggest gripe is that they switched the narrator for the 4th book. If your a fan of Terry Brooks, I think you'll enjoy this.
