Wonderful dramatization, highlighting Austin's finely tuned expression of emotion and satire. I have never laughed so hard as I did at the depiction of John Dashwood's egotism and tastelessness.
Jane Austen is brittiant at creating characters that just stay in your heart long after you are done with the book.
You mean... my borther... Mrs.... Mrs Robert Ferris
Better sound quality mostly.
Two sisters, two lives
The narration was impeccable, the storyline was engaging, the experience was delightful. As this was my first experience with Jane Austen, I can only hope subsequent selections from her works will inspire even greater admiration for the mastery with which this book was written. I sat in awe, repeatedly, as I the parade of Austen's abilities with words left me wondering why I've ever bothered placing pen to paper. Despite this, I felt inspired all the while to attain such skill.
Love the narration! Very soothing to listen to. I will definitely purchase more books by this narrator and Jane Austen.
I recommend this audiobook to all Jane Austen fans. This reading is lovely, doing justice to Austen's delicious language, subtle humor, and gentle satire.
Jane is always good, but wordy. Enjoyed this narrator very much. The story is good, but could be abridged in my opinion for easier listening. Good morals and lessons learned here.
