Fast Women is a funny book. If you like Jennifer Cruise's writing, you'll appreciate this book. The narrator does a lovely job.
This is my sixth Jennifer Crusie books ??? I can say it was the best one of hers I have read. I loved the characters in the book but felt it took too long to get to the meat of the story. The ending is predicable and several twist and turns in the book ??? nothing you can???t see coming. In general it was a fairly fun book to listen too. Like the previous books of hers she has her reoccurring themes ??? it dishware.

I think I'm also discovering that so much of liking an audio book has to do with the narrator as well. I knew I heard this voice before and I did - w/Nora Roberts Three Sisters Trilogy. She just has this voice that puts you right into the story (wonderful). I just think that anything Sandra Burr narrates is bound to be a good listen. Obviously the book needs to be good but I'm thinking Sandra probably only does "keepers".
I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did some of her other books...this one had too many fast women! Just too much "bed jumping" for my taste. Sex partners seem to be incidental to these characters.
Just hit a scene that has me in tears I am laughing so hard. I cant wait to check out another book. I hope they all have this since of humor. I may go back and listen to this part again just for the laugh.
I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
I did enjoy this story, it was light and fun with a some mystery mixed in. The sex scenes laked at bit of detail which I guess some people like. But for me the book would have 5 stars if there had been more detail. Overall the book was good and I enjoyed the listen. I will try another of Jennifer Crusie's books.
Tbhe plots were interesting. The characters genuine. The relationships warm... a good quick feel good chic book.
I enjoyed the women - their humor. The women were real and not catty...real friends.
I had a difficult time at first with the pace that she read in....slow down.....
There were many tender moments.
Not a heavy book. The hardest part was keeping track of the characters and their relationshops. I enjoyed it tremendously and would love to visit with them again.
