I found this to be a very mesmorizing "couldn't put down" read (listen). One of his best books. Also check out "The Face" by Koontz.
I've listened to many of Dean's books. He makes the "yea right, I don't think so" very believable. Not this time. Too far fetched and and the characters and their employment were very cheesy, yes, cheesy.
AUDIBLE MAKES READING POSSIBLE AND EASY FOR ME...I AM VISUALLY IMPAIRED. I WISH THEY HAD ALL THE BOOKS I WANT I WOULD SNAP THEM UP!
IF THERE WAS A DECENT STORY. THE STORY ALLOWED KOONTZ TO DO ANYTHING AND IT DIDN'T MATTER IF IT MADE ANY SENSE OR CAME TOGETHER
LEAVE OUT THE
NO. I AM SURPRISED AS INTENSITY WAS THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ.
VER LITTLE. HE DID NOT DO FEMALE VOICES THAT WELL. BUT THE NARRATOR WAS A PLEASURE TO LISTEN TO.
I GOT THIS BOOK AS THERE ARE SEVERAL BOOKS IN THE SERIES. I FIGURED IT HAD TO BE GOOD IF HE WROTE SO MANY IN THE SAME SERIES. I WAS WRONG. I DID NOT FINISH THE BOOK. I WILL MAYBE BUT NOT NOW. I HAVE BETTER BOOKS TO READ.
Dean Koontz usually tells such strange and chilling stories that I shy away from reading them. The editors review of the story line interested me, so I took a chance. It turned out to be a good mystery/ghost story without all the gore and I really enjoyed hearing it. It is one of those stories that I would go back in the future and listen to again,or maybe a sequel.
Thank you Mr Koontz.
I read this without knowing anything about it previously, but purely because of Dean Koontz (yes, I am a fan----any man who can write like this and loves golden retrievers is OK by me!) This book sharpened my appetite for more of Odd and his interesting life. I find myself casting the movie in my head while listening. And it's terrific! More Odd!!
