This book is an audio documentary on the making of the movie, along with the history of the studio where this as well as all of the previous Harry Potter movies were made in the past years. It covers a lot of territory in its 12 Chapters, and is interesting in the fact that it uses musical quips and fills during the presentation, which would have been much more dull had those not been included, as they add the unseen dramatic effect to the presentation. Additionally, the narrator Dan Fogler, one of the cast members is both enthusiastic, excited, self-effacing, and narcissist, in other words an actor, in his narration and descriptions while covering the various areas and backgrounds of the sets, scenery, music, cast, and crew. However, the overall story while interesting wasn't worth the price. Documentaries like this are better served as a video. If they took this documentary and added visuals to it and released it as a follow-up to the movie that would be very interesting. As a written documentary, I stand by my three star rating.

It's Okay for a Documentary

It plays like an audio-only version of a really, really good DVD bonus feature. It goes into a LOT of depth into what it takes to make a film and features nice, in-depth interviews with the cast, the heads of various departments, and other crew members within those departments. It's mostly spoiler-free but not quite as spoiler-averse as the making-of book by Ian Nathan.

Also Dan Fogler seems to be having the time of his life narrating this and he makes it so interesting. There were a lot of times where I wished I could just WATCH this documentary instead of listening to it, but it's still very good. I wish it could've gone into a bit more depth on certain plot elements but it's good for what it is.

Good, a bit frustratingly spoiler free

Once I realized this would be a true behind the scenes narrative without any visual, I was a little bummed. What was I thinking??? However, this really was an enjoyable listen thanks largely in part to Dan Fogler who kept things interesting and humorous along the way. I just wish they would get Jacob a wand! 🤣Lol! ❤

I love Dan Fogler!

This audiophile is good for long train rides or plane flights but definitely wouldn't recommend for just listening to or listening in the tub or trying to fall asleep

It's a good listen
