    We are a podcast about movies and feelings - part film analysis, part therapeutic conversation. Join us on this journey exploring the highs and lows of the human condition through the eyes of two mentally ill millennial lesbians who studied and worked in film.


    Sad Kids Movie Club convenes every other Wednesday. Our first episode airs on January, 4, 2023!

    This week, we're discussing the 2019 film, Doctor Sleep. The film was written and directed by Mike Flanagan, adapted from the novel of the same name written by Steven King. It stars Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, Kyleigh Curran, Cliff Curtis and Zahn McClaron, with appearances by Carl Lumbly as Dick Hollorann, Henry Thomas as Jack Torrance and Alex Essoe as Wendy Torrance.


    Trigger warnings for discussions of alcoholism, addiction, overdose, child abuse, graphic scenes of violence (particularly violence against children), racism and racial stereotypes, suicide, and a brief mention of rape.
