  • Stepping Off the Throne: Kelly's Story
    Jun 11 2024
What does it look like to let God rule in singleness? What if His rule looks different from what we would prefer? What if Kelly thought of Jimmy not as a boyfriend but more as a good friend? All these questions are answered as we listen to Kelly's journey to vacate areas of her life that rightly belong to the King of the universe.

Key learning moments in Kelly’s life:
(2:35) - College-age Kelly submitted her desire to find a husband to God.
(7:34) - Kelly had to pray before saying ‘yes’ to dating Jimmy Needham. 🤭
(9:35) - Kelly realized marriage wasn’t to serve her own desires - but God’s.
(14:27) - Through an inductive study of the Old Testament prophets, Kelly’s view of God was challenged. Does God have feelings? A personality?
(19:21) As a mom with two young kids and a husband on tour, Kelly studied the Pharisees. And it changed everything.

  • Life Gets Better When God's the Center: Jimmy's Story
    Jun 4 2024
Tis a new season! And a new season means super easy questions like: "Why do I exist?" and "Even if Jesus didn't save me, would He still be worth worshiping?" So, sit back, relax, and enjoy this light and fluffy reminder that we all need to get over ourselves and into the One worth worshiping.
Today, Jimmy’s sharing how he discovered the good news that God is most important and how it set him free.

Key learning moments in Jimmy’s life:
(7:06) - 15-year-old Jimmy gets stumped at what the meaning of life is.
(11:18) - A sermon on a CD blows Jimmy’s mind on how much God deserves to be worshiped.
(18:39) - During his first read-through of the Bible, Jimmy realizes that God is sovereignly involved in every. single. thing. (good and bad!).
(21:49) - Jimmy comes to terms with how he is saved, God’s adoption of His children, and predestination. Before this reckoning, Jimmy had been discouraged and nervous about his salvation.

Imprecatory psalms. Betcha can't say that 5 times fast. Just how should Christians handle these passages that call down judgment on our enemies? Let's learn from King David how to be 'properly' offended and what it means for us today.

We are taking a one-week break for Jimmy to work on his tan but will return the first week of June.
