I love Rebecca Soler. She did a great job reading/performing the entire Lunar Chronicles Saga. I loved the voices she created for all the characters. I read the book in between listening and I found myself missing her character voices.


The story was great overall but I wish everything had not worked out so perfectly. I honestly would have been happy with one more main character losing their life in the battle. I know that is harsh, but like I said, the ending was a bit too perfect.

Where does Winter rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The Cinder series by Marissa Meyer has been one of the most unique books I've listened to. It's a wonderful mix of retelling fairy tales, bits and motifs of revolution and romance that appeal to fans of the Hunger Games and Selection series, but it also has its own completely different twist: the heroines are delightfully strong, both in character and talents, and independent (both a strength and a flaw, as they learn the value of being able to depend on friends), and there's a space/sci-fi element that's totally distinctive for the futuristic teen dystopian lit genre.

Haha I might have welled up a few times, both out of sadness and happiness. And I definitely was tickled a few times.

I really highly recommend this whole series. I was skeptical originally, but am so so glad I read them.

Great series for family entertainment.

This book was a great listen for the whole family. The author is great at re-telling the classic fairy tales.

I enjoyed that my H School and MS aged children each enjoyed the story. There was enough content for the older kids and the young kids loved the concepts of a modern day Snow White.

I appreciate the author keeping the language clean. There was no need to turn the book off or skip parts for the young kids. There was some violence it wasn't aggressive or out of character.

Good listen for a family trip.

Intriguing

This was a very intriguing story. I am going to have to buy the hard copy series to add to my fairy tale collection. I’ve been collecting retelling for years and love them all! And this is at the top!

After every book I say this but...

This one was my favorite. I can't even pick a favorite part. This was a beautiful series and I'm so excited to read stars above next!

This was an amazing series

I really prescient how the author revitalizes old fairytales. Everybody loves Cindarella and snow white etc and this is a breath of fresh air revitalizing the stories.

What an amazing series!

I breezed through these books and couldn't focus on anything else in between. The storyline is extremely suprising and sucks you in!!! I have never experienced such a unique rewriting of old fairy tales. I would recommend them to anyone!!

Great Audiobook

This book is fantastic, and the narrator has gotten even better since the first book in the series. I was on the edge of my seat at times.

EXCEPTIONAL

I literally couldn't stay away from this book. I generally listen to my audio book's just before I go to bed. This one, anytime I had even 20 spare minutes I was plugged in.
Fairy tales have been redone a million times in as just about as many different ways they've become redundant. Marissa Meyers concept is nothing short of being brilliant. The entire Lunar Cronicals (including Queen Lavana's story ) are a must for any book lover.
I couldn't imagine anyone else other than Rebecca Soler narrating either. To be able to breathe life into so many different characters.. perfect and also pure brilliance.
This is one of those stories that a person feels sad to say goodbye to each character.
Book one about Cinder started off just as wonderfully as this final book Winter ended.
I honestly cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a story this much and intend to purchase the collection in hard copy soon.

This book really surpassed any expectation I had. The details was so great. The constant action through out the story line. The struggles, the lost, the romance It was all well written. I really enjoyed this book and wish there was more to read.
