Story was excellent…narration was not

Enjoyed the story and the male narration. The female narrator didn’t seem to match the character description and her male voice was cringeworthy!

Listened to it every moment I could and finished it in 2 days. Loved the performance and dynamics between all the characters.

Loved the story! Alex Kydd was an amazing narrator. I liked Elizabeth Russell too for the female lead. However, She really needs to work on her male voices though…not good.

This is a wonderful story about coming out of an abusive situation to a beautiful relationship full of hope and real love. Having the chance to become a mother and father building a family together. Great job Kristen Granada.

Loved the story

The story was good but the woman narrator does the worst male and child voices ever! it was very distracting at times.

Love love love.

I loved this book from start to finish. Was not expecting the turn at the end! I gasped and could not stop smiling. The ending was a tad rushed but overall amazing.

I really enjoyed it but I was hoping the husband was gonna come back but never did...

I Loved it!!! this book had me so drawn. I felt everything and was engaged so much I listened to the whole thing within 3 days.

PERFECTION

I swear I wanted to read it as soon as I saw the author’s TikTok about it! I binged on audio and finished in a day. Definitely recommend, be warned of sensitive content and possible bouts of tears of sadness and joy!

One of my favorite stories

This is one of my favorite books, because it’s so raw and real, alongside being beautifully written. Due to that I’m not willing to give it less than five stars. Alex Kydd smashed it out of the park, and I liked Elizabeth Russell’s female narrations. With that being said her male narrations left something to be desired, particularly with Cole. Cole was one of my favorite characters, but he sounds like a raspy old man who smokes 2 packs a day and it’s just not at all how I pictured him.

All in all, I would definitely recommend reading it but also wanted to be honest that there’s something to be desired.
