Resumen del Editor

When an unknown woman is dragged from the wreckage of a train crash, her final words before losing consciousness are a plea for the life of the baby inside her.

Dr. Stewart Kramer knows he must do all he can to save this baby - he believes it to be his late brother’s child.

But as the baby’s mother recovers, Stewart finds himself crossing professional boundaries. He discovers that she has depths only he can appreciate. Very soon both mother and child have crept into his heart.

A Sweet Story When I Needed Distraction

I wouldn't say this was an outstanding book, but it was very sweet. The author obviously knows something of a NICU, which made it more interesting. The mistaken identity used was interesting.

The book was not very expensive, and it was a much needed light read during a very stressful time. Not all reading can be totally intense or even engrossing. This will fill a nice rainy afternoon. The narrator was very good.

A little baby!

This Harlequin Medical romance fell a little flat for me. I don't think it was the story, it ws engaging with the scary and tragic delivery of a premature child. I find the information on the NICU to be interesting and as a parent completely terrifying. So much can happen as you will find out in this book. The story is started with a train crash, where Amanda saves a one-year old infant and is thrown into premature labor herself. The uncle of the infant, Stewart happens to be a pediatrician at the hospital that Amanda delivers, and he thinks she is the mother of the one year old as well, as a result being his sister-in-law, wife of his deceased brother. Slight taboo with the attraction, but their chemistry just was not strong for me. The story is sweet and the happily ever after expected.

The narration by Tess Masters was extremely enjoyable, which made the story go quickly. Her Aussie accent is easy to understand and she gives distinguishable voicing at a very good pace. I really liked her.

Boring and predictable

It's not the worse, but really... It's so predictable that I knew the end in the beginning.

The longest four hours ever...

The only reason why I listened to this book through the end is the sense of Deja Vu I got. I had a preemie and she went through the same complications baby Simone went through in this story. This is a very light romance. The story was more about baby Simone and her hospital stay. I actually speed up the narration to 1.5 and 2 in order to get it over with. The narration was unremarkable. The Australian accent was very strong but clear.

I don't recommend this book.
