Owen Foster has never wanted for anything. Then his mother shows up at his elite New Orleans boarding school cradling a bombshell: his privileged life has been funded by stolen money. After using the family business, the single largest employer in his small Louisiana town, to embezzle millions and drain the employees' retirement accounts, Owen's father vanished without a trace, leaving Owen and his mother to deal with the fallout.
Owen returns to Lake Cane to finish his senior year, where people he hardly remembers despise him for his father's crimes. A fun listen
Good enough plotting to hold your attention. Solid narration. In truth, in a master writer’s hands it could have been a superb short story with a big twist at the end. But as is, ok if you are not too impatient like me and about half way through -just jump to the last several chapters (with nothing lost) to wrap things up.

You won’t be disappointed!$
I cannot say say enough great things about this book and the narrators! A bad narrator can send me looking for another book, no matter the storyline! This book was amazing I truly didn’t guess the ending, and I usually do! 😉. Great book well worth the time!!
