Highly recommend listening to this story

I have occasionally traveled by train into NYC and enjoyed meeting people and learning their stories. You just never know what they may teach you. This book took me on an escape on a train like I have experienced in the past but gave me even more than just a story. It comes from a genuine foundation in the authors heritage to which he was born and takes you on the trip of a lifetime into America that forever changed the future for his family of origin. The train excursion takes the writer and reader on another trip of self discovery. In these current times, we all need the messages in this book. I will listen to it regularly. It's a little multifaceted gem. Enjoy.

Amazing!

I cannot remember why I chose this author or this book. I have never gone to motivational speeches period; but, I am so glad that I stumbled upon this book tmThe author had me convinced almost to the end that this was all a real experience Whether it was or not, I really appreciate his writing and narration. My grandparents on my mother's side. escapeed Russian controlled territory before the Revolution. And on my father's side, escaped economic deprivation in Italy around the same time So I can appreciate his experience as an immigrant.

I just happened upon this book…or did I? If you just happen upon this book, take the time to listen to it or read it.

Narrator

The story was wonderful and I will read it again, but the author would have benefited by hiring a narrator to read the book. The uneasy narration took away fro the beauty of the story being told.

This story spoke to me. I am dealing with a the same stuff that the main character was dealing with. It definitely changed my perspective on some things.

Miraculous encounters are ours to be received as a gift from God. He is a God of understanding and loving truth. There are no coincidences in life; only life happening with or without us. This book inspires me to live life on His terms; not mine. It is much simpler and loving.
