A Message For Everyone

Very important message for everyone to hear. Riley does an amazing job approaching the situation with grace and kindness while still speaking truth.

Great with a few exceptions

I have a lot of admiration for Riley, and she is no doubt a hero and trailblazer. What I do take issue with is her religious views, and I believe the way she talks about them is undermining her cause.

In this book and in interviews Riley stresses the importance of biological facts, science, and rational thinking, and then goes on to state (as a matter of fact) that what's really happening is a spiritual war between good and evil but she knows this battle (for Women's sports) will be won because of some scripture from thousands of years ago written by men claiming to be channeling a supernatural being.

Fairness in competitive sports is one of the cornerstones of her cause yet she makes it clear she believes her God routinely rigs games and gives special advantages to those who believe the same and pray hard enough.

Although I'm abundantly greatful that so many Christians are pioneering the fight against the transdemic, it's gotten me thinking about how much more traction it could gain if the message wasn't always bundled with a church sermon.

Timely and important
