I haven't even finished this book yet but I LOVE it and it's so heartfelt and SEXY and longing and I just can't. I love it.

my imagination was wild and I felt like I was there (: I loved every minute of it. I also enjoy the people who narrated it.

So Real

Maybe I'm biased because my favorite trope is friends to lovers, but this felt very grounded in reality. I related to this tale a little too much. The conflicts and apprehensions; the pining. Just humans having a human experience.

So glad this is the first book I've listened to in 2024! I am going to listen to as many Skyler Mason books as I can asap!

The epilogue should be apart of the book, I would literally pay for it. So good.

Amazing!!!

I’ve been waiting so long for this book to come out and I’m so satisfied with it is! The author did an amazing job!

Main character is insufferable

Livie is portrayed as a sweet and compassionate woman but is completely unable to admit other people have complex feelings too. Especially considering shes putting other people in these situations. The religious stuff doesn't justify how forced her entire character arc is. She isn't complex, she's artificially naive and it's tough to listen to the parts from her point of view. She wanted all of these things and then gets mad when it causes other people to get hurt.

This wasn’t for me

Let me say that the writing was good and for the right person, this would probably be a 5 star read. For me, however, it wasn’t my cup of tea. I didn’t enjoy the purity/virgin trope, I disliked the characters (thought she actually had the worst friends), and I just didn’t buy the connection between the two mains. The end also felt very rushed. Narration was great.
