We all want to feel less anxiety, guilt, anger, and sadness. We want to obsess less and be less lonely, and free ourselves from our demons, compulsive habits, and stress. But as humans (unlike rocks), we experience all of these. And, paradoxically, trying to avoid and control them only makes things worse. Having struggled with serious mental illness for many years himself, Mark Freeman has become a dedicated mental-health advocate and coach. He makes the case that instead of trying to feel less and avoid pain and stress, we need to build emotional fitness, especially our capacity for strength, balance, and focus.

Any given day brings a never-ending list of things to do. There’s the work thing, the catch-up thing, the laundry thing, the creative thing, the exercise thing, the family thing, the thing we don’t want to do, and the thing we’ve been putting off, despite it being the most important thing. Even on days when we get a lot done, the thing left undone can leave us feeling guilty, anxious, or disappointed.

Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are and learn to live and breathe freely.

Historia
Behind our stress, clutter, and confusion is an infinitely spacious place one might call stillness or joy. This is our natural state of being, but we usually don’t experience it, because we are caught in a web of material possessions, desires, and fears. Our clutter often becomes another member of the family that we feed, house, and lug around. In Your Spacious Self, author and professional space clearing expert Stephanie Bennett Vogt shows us that it’s not our stuff but the holding on to it that creates a force field of stuck-ness that clouds our perceptions and paralyzes our lives.

We are modern people in a high-tech world. We have first world problems and long to-do lists. And if you grew up in struggle - overcoming homophobia, sexism, trauma, shame, depression, poverty, toxic masculinity, racism, or social injustice - you need a different type of meditation...one that doesn't pretend the struggle doesn't exist. Now, Justin introduces Freedom Meditation - an approach that addresses disillusionment, social justice, and shame; strengthens intuition; cuts through self-doubt; and empowers you to make better decisions.

It's pernicious...it's diabolical...it creeps into every moment of our lives. It influences our relationships, impacts our physical body, works its way into our conversations, sparks non-nourishing behaviors, and forces us to do things we'd never want to do. It's infectious; it's relentless.... It's stress! We all know it. We all experience it. It's the human condition - but through this audiobook, you will learn to transcend it.

Cory Allen is walking the talk
Now is the Way is indeed the way to a more clear vision of self. Cory does an admirable job at making the topic of mindful presence accessable, heartfelt, and pragmatic - while also giving a fun insight to the more esoteric exercises for the mind.
I enjoy his humble but DEEP presentation of thought, bringing together decades of life experience and his years of quality brain-picking of science and wellness experts on the cutting edge of the field through his podcast 'The Astral Hustle' to create a truly useful tool in calming the mind's chatter, overcoming unproductive thought patterns and finding a beauty from within, that just may, promise an appreciation for the beauty of Now.

A brilliant, honest, and gentle guide that takes you into the now
I have been working on being in the now for more than 15 years. Cory is a real person not a monk or an enlightened master therefore he can take people like you and I and walk them by the hand into the now.
His voice is calm and authentic. These lessons and practices can open the heart and make the moment a source for peace and joy. There is no better gift than this. The hard thing is to convince the ego to let go and accept it. Love has a way.

NOW is the time to be a Rascal
Wonderful heart-felt book!
Cory has an uncanny ability to playfully navigate both the profound and profane.
A true RASCAL!
Cory's deep and broad perspective of mindfulness are a breath of fresh air in a highly contrived time of being "WOKE".
His podcast, music/binaural beats & guided meditations are enjoyable as well!

A beautiful gem of mindfulness
What I loved about this book is that Cory Allen speaks about mindfulness in a very approachable and genuine way. He shares tools- meditations and exercises to help the reader learn and grow. I have already started seeing a difference from the few exercises I’ve done. I appreciate the way the author communicates the information in a very easy to follow, open and accessible way. I highly recommend this book!

Cory Allen loves us all
So glad I heard about Cory. His light wisdom stretches across whatever medium he chooses to send it through. This book is no different. Love the specific mindfulness practices he sprinkles in here. Presents his wisdom with wit and lightness that is humble and honest. I'm a musician, so I also love that he comes from that background as well. Great book, great dude!

The end of the book was particularly and lightning, and I believe useful. It provides not only perspective, but also practical application for some issues that at times have been purely esoteric. I found it to be engaging and useful. I will share it.

Excellent entry point into mindfulness/meditation
This incredibly thoughtful and clearly expressed book proves to be a PERFECT entry point into mindfulness and meditation. Corey is able to clearly describe complex ideas in a very accessible way and serves us up so much actionable wisdom in a relatively short book. It was very informative and enjoyable and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the world of mindfulness/meditation. I feel like this book has the potential to be absolutely life changing for seekers fresh on their path. Also, it is an absolute treat to have the author reading the book. Check out the sample to hear just howt incredibly calming and beautiful his voice is. Thank you so much Corey for putting this out into the world, I'm sure it will help many on their journey!
