Entertainingish

I expected a bit more. This novel is a bit too over the top. Narrator is uneven.

I never want his stories to end

I loved this story. Kinda figured out the twist mid-story but loved the end. I always want an epilogue to know what happened to the main couple after the story wraps up. Highly recommend any of these novels

Funny and loved the characters

I've enjoyed this book like his others and it kept me laughing and hoping. I found everyone someone I could relate to in some way. It was a nice escape.

Entertaining book, terrible narration

A wonderful escape, totally immersive. The narrator is terrible. First book I’ve ever had to listen to at 1.5 speed. The voices she uses for different characters are abysmal

Too Long and shallow

Issues with whining narrator’s voice for Chinese mothers.
Ok story line but not as good as first novel which is the best. Need to write a different type of novel.

I had such high hopes

I love Kevin Kwan. I couldn’t wait for this title to be available. However, the narration quite literally hurt my brain. The narrator played Arabella at a pitch so high and scratchy that it was physically painful to hear. The odd cadence of her storytelling made each character sound breathless, and stupid at the same time. Please remake this book with Lydia Look.

Interesting story twists

Loved the well written details along with the introduction of fascinating characters . Also enjoyed the reader of the books bringing the book to life.

This may be the best Kevin Kwan book yet. Enjoyed the character development, plot twists and overall story.

Great story and characters. The narrator was distracting and a real detriment to the experience.

A wonderful romp and the voices the reader did on audible made it very engaging - it feels like a movie!
