The book helped me fill in the gaps of the story of Jesus’s childhood, bridging the gap between his birth and his sacrifice. The research for this work also sheds light on the background of Joseph and Mary’s blood line that fulfilled prophecy.

All the details we never hear

I am so thankful that Pastor Renner took the time to research and follow each thread of the Christmas story. I loved hearing the words of historians and later church leaders explaining things we just don’t talk about anymore, with the story of Jesus’s birth. It is an excellent read.
