Patiently waiting

Secrets on secrets on secrets!!! Once those secrets are revealed, here comes some more. If you are age 40 & up and spent summers with your grandmother watching soap operas, you would love this. I thought this was a magical version of The Young and the Restless. And I loved every bit of it. I loved watching the family put aside their differences and come together for a common goal….justice! I really hope there’s a book 2 in the works. This goes on my list of books that should be movies. It’s just that good.

A true performance

Bahni AND Joniece narrating together?! It’s like Blood Debts was written with them in mind. Highly recommend, the story and the performance are amazing. Can’t wait for the next installment

An INCREDIBLE book!

This book has been on my TBR since I heard about because it was by a black author, focused on black main characters, and was a fantasy. The amount of detail Terry put into this book made it MORE enjoyable that I could have ever imagined. I have a physical copy of this book, but wanted to get the audiobook so I could listen while I was working. This story, the characters, and the arcs that everyone went through was so beautifully executed. I enjoyed the plot, the characters, and spiritual element. And that cliff hanger at the end makes me super excited to see what may happen next for the characters!

From beginning to end this book kept me wanting more! The narrators embodies the charms of the characters and each chapter was phenomenal!! Please listen and get the book as well! Can’t wait for part 2!!

I need more😫🔥🔥🔥🔥

This book literary gravitated towards me and I’m so glad it did because it seriously devoured this novel. From the story line, history, magick, justice, and family being stronger together. It was amazing and I can not wait for book two and hopefully it’s like a 7 book serious bc it’s so many ways he could take this story.

great introduction to the series

I really like this book. I enjoyed the way this author wrote magic and I felt fully immersed in the world. I also enjoyed how complicated and interesting the characters were. I can't wait to read this second book in this duology

Outstanding!

This book was so nicely done. The author did a great job of setting up and connecting all the moving parts to this story. It came together beautifully. The narrators were wonderful in bringing the characters to life, though I admit that Clem's voice takes some getting used to.

It was so satisfying to see Lenora get what she deserved! (I wish the same could be said for Oz). I'm sure Valentina will make every effort to avenge her grandmother's death, so the follow up book will be explosive. I'm also very curious about what's coming Clem's way.
