Practice Speed to Native Speed Spanish - Good For Beginning and Intermediate Levels
This is a very good course for someone who is just beginning a study of Spanish. It is also very useful for someone that has had some classroom experience but who never had much practice speaking it. It would also be great as a good brush up for people that have not used their Spanish for a while.
All the words and sentences on the audio recording are said clearly. You never have a problem hearing how the Spanish words are pronounced. The Spanish speakers say them at what the narrator calls ‘practice’ speed. The same words are then said at what the narrator calls ‘native’ speed. Saying sentences both ways really makes it easy to learn. There are good tips on accent and pronunciation. And they teach about using nouns and verbs together to form simple but whole sentences. I noted about four different authentic Spanish speakers so you get some variety with the different voices.
Like I said it’s good practice for beginning learners and even for people at a intermediate level.
You can learn a lot of Spanish while you are driving in your car, waiting on someone or something, or just relaxing in your easy chair or on your patio.
This more than five hour audio program makes learning some basic conversational Spanish a lot smoother process than I thought possible. Just a few minutes every day of otherwise wasted waiting time, from any location. Really. That’s all it took for me to learn a lot of useful Spanish.
Learning quickly from Bite-Sized Spanish has made me realize that my biggest challenge to learning Spanish was never the difficulty. My biggest challenge was time. Bite-sized Spanish solved my time and convenience problem with its short and effective easy-to-learn approach.
The native Spanish speakers on this audio recording speak in very understandable voices and English explanations and meanings are always provided. It's not too fast either, and it is very easy to follow. I highly recommend you try it.

Let me compare this course to Pimsleur, since that is the other well reviewed course out there. Pimsleur is good, first of all. You will learn basic Spanish with it. this is why Collins is soooo much better.
1. Collins is cheaper.
2. You learn about 20 times the vocabulary that you do with Pimsleur. I am not joking. Collins uses a very similar method as Pimsleur, but I swear to you they have taken Pimsleur and VASTLY improved upon it. I testify to this based on the experience of 7 people I know who have tried and used both. Count this as 7 reviews.
3. Collins Teaches you more things you can really use. Did you know that words that end in "ion" in English are basically all identical in Spanish? Now you've just learned about 1000 spanish words. Collins teaches you absolutely incredible language learning tricks like this. PIMSLEUR DOESN'T.
I could go on and on.
4. Collings teaches you both Spain and Latin American Spanish at the same time, easily, and without any sweat at all. Pimsleur doesn't. You might think you won't use Spain spanish, but you will need it if you progress at all, because most books use it. Trust me.
I could go on and on about how Collins is better. It is absolutely incredible in every way. I am using it along with Instant Immersion Spanish to teach Spanish to my kids. I would NEVER go back to Pimsleur again. It was a waste of money. thank you, Paul Collins, for the gift you have given us!
