This book does an excellent job filling in the gaps you may have in you fitness and nutrition knowledge. It is the perfect book to listen to after you finish "Bigger Leaner Stronger: The Simple Science of Building the Ultimate Male Body." I highly recommend it. The content, writing style, and narration are all top notch.
Over the last 10 years, I've read many books on exercise and nutrition and this is by far my favorite. It cuts through all the hype and just gives you the facts on how to get in fantastic shape. It is easy to listen to and understand as an audio book. The content is supported by the latest science and cuts through all the fad ideas that are floating around out there. It provides a perfect exercise and dieting framework to get you in fantastic shape. There are no gimmicks or false promises in this book; it sticks to what has truly worked for all the people that are in awesome shape without the use of steroids.
It takes a lot of hard work to get in great shape and there is just no way around that, but the road is MUCH easier if you are being as effective as possible with your workouts, diet, and supplementation. You can't go wrong with this book if you follow it to the letter.
Fascinating but with practical, useful information as well. As a neuroscience geek, I really enjoyed the book, especially its integrative approach with everything that's known about brain plasticity.
The narrator is excellent as well.
