OKThis was my first Suzanne Brockmann book and I thought it was great. Very different, in a good way. I loved the narrators. At first I thought each narrator would be the male/female characters but the both spoke for the same characters. As strange as that sounds it was very well done. Both narrators are excellent, the story was excellent. The story of AJ and Allison was sweet and the ending was excellent. Some of the romance novels I read the story is great but the ending stinks, too sweet and sappy...this one is perfect. I ended the book with a smile on my face. I'm now a big fan of Ms. Brockmann and have just downloaded another one of her books. Enjoy!
This is one of the best books I have listened to on audible in a long time. The story is fantastic and the chemistry between the two main characters, Scott and Lisa is amazing! Narrator did a great job too. The story grabs you and pulls you in from the beginning - I couldn't put it down!!! I loved it so much that I listened to it twice. Don't pass on this one.
I love Nora Roberts, however, some of her early work is not very good but this one is an exception. I really enjoyed listening to this book on my walks the story was hard to cut off sometimes. Hope you enjoy it.
Devotee of multi-tasking, keen gardener and cross-stitcher. Now able to do both AND listen to stories at the same time. Bliss.
This is the first of a series of Black Knights Inc books, the only one published so far. The next is due out in September and I, for one, can't wait. I listened to this practically without a break and finished it in less than 24 hours. Nate 'Ghost' Weller works for Black Knights Inc, a private security firm hiding behind the front of a custom motor cycle shop. He is recently back from a mission gone wrong during which his partner Grigg Morgan was killed. Ghost has always had a 'thing' for Grigg's little sister Ali and when she approaches him with concerns of being stalked, he and the rest of the Black Knights team come to her rescue.
This book is pretty descriptive. I wrinkled my nose and muttered 'ew!' on several occasions, but I also laughed out loud more than once. I found it a nice mixture of suspense, romance, humour and action. Abby Craden was very good at narrating, although I felt several times her low growling of Ghost's dialogue was a little distracting - less of the sexy, more of the scary.
I do hope Audible pick up the next book 'In Rides Trouble' - I'm keen to listen to it!
