I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.

I was so wrapped up in the story and that does not happen often. It's well worth the credit. I hope the next book in this series is as good because I'm getting that one too.

    good story for erotica. Gunner is fun as a cat. Too bad this story read by a person who has a bad female voice and just a passable male voice.

    Is there anything you would change about this book?

    Another bad reader, AKA Lexi Maynard who reads Shayla Black books. This author can write. Good story line on both books.The readers are killing it for her. You have to tune out the voice and just get the story line. That is not what audio listeners want to do.


    What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

    Both books are a good listen if you want Erotica paranormal. these guys are fun, hot, and sexy in a paranormal story, but you have get pass the readers. Hence the win win price.


    How did the narrator detract from the book?

    Ok on female voice. But very bad on male voice, so much that she does as much as she can in the female voice. When the men are thinking out loud, her use of her female voice is a distraction and not a help. This reader uses contractions that gave her away and gave the clue to be able to look up another bad reader/ stories. I could be wrong on the AKA, but bad is still bad reading.


    Did Falke's Captive inspire you to do anything?

    Yes, looked up another story to be sure I noted this reader's name to add to the DO NOT BUY list.

    Erotica needs a good voice for bother female and male. So many of the readers are just so poor. Isabelle Gordon is fantastic, boy, if you could re record these 2 books w/ Ms Gordon then Audible would have winners.

    Who was your favorite character and why?

    all the guys are oh so sexy. Eric is just plain funny with all his actions; banging his head on the table from room service, you will laugh your head off. Trace has got Brian's six.


    What does Justine O. Keef bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Her males voice are pretty darn good. I was not going to buy the other stories until I finished one book! Nope, I got hooked after chapter 4 and purchased all of them!

    Make no mistake, these are erotica and romance. These are not tame. Nice job of bring in the music world. Not sure how accurate, but nice job of mixing romance and a story.

    Sensual, raw, action packed and disturbing.
    This was my first erotic western in parts I was shocked my some of the content but I just could not stop listening. At times this is raw and sometimes you I thought Canie could be nicer to Desi. Yet I read on. I enjoyed the action scenes but what sticks in my mind is the SEX (there's a whole lot of it). This the best of the series ( I've read 4 of them).
