This goes beyond the plain wealth advancement category. It really helps you clarify practical methods and changes your perception about servicing customers, growing existing customers, and how to treat them. It establishes the true wealth mentality, and just happens to be a good personal growth book. 100 great ways, a great price, and I don't know why I waited on this book. Don't wait, just get this one. Will try some of their others. This mentions them, and I like when a new book comes out that summarizes info from past books so you get a good value deal here. This book could be the one that gets you on your way.

Hurry up and read. Its pretty much about its topic line. Mostly common sense stuff, but a good listen. It tells you about meditation and how it helps you center yourself. Its practical in describing the rewards and benefits that come from it. I would recommend this and a few more in the series to help you understand meditation. This one is not trying to push the envelope on the benefits and sounds geniue in its presentation. You will fell like you got your credits worth and I am glad I listened. If you have an interest in meditation, I think you will find this good base info.

  • Meditations to Change Your Brain: Rewire Your Neural Pathways to Transform Your Life

    "Interesting"

    Overall
    Performance
    Story

I found the content in this book interesting, but confess I didn't finish it. The downside to me was that the mediations are including in the general narration so it made it pretty much impossible to find them again after the fact. It would have liked them to be perhaps a separate chapter on their own.

  • Self-Compassion: Stop Beating Yourself Up and Leave Insecurity Behind

    Story

I really enjoyed this book and got alot out of it. It would have to be the first self help type book I have read where the author shares her stories thereby clearing making her point about us all being imperfect. I liked how the book contained her thoughts but also research that has been conducted. I would recommend everyone read this book.

  • Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard

    Story

I really enjoyed this book and got a lot out of it both on a personal level and on a professional level. All the things in the book seem to make sense to me and I know look at ways I can adopt their suggestions to help manage change. I nearly didn't buy the book because of all the comments about the poor narration but although he wasn't the best narrator I didn't find it detracted at all from the book. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

  • Women, Food and God: An Unexpected Path to Almost Everything

"Interesting but seemed to lack depth"

    Story

I didn't find alot of useful information in this book. I only finished it two days ago but already I've forgotten most of it. I would have liked some clear steps to follow, maybe at the end of each chapter (yes I know she does outline them in one go). The blurb about the book says "If you suffer about your relationship with food - you eat too much or too little, think about what you will eat constantly or try not to think about it at all - you can be free. Just look down at your plate. The answers are there" If you are expecting the book to tell you how to look at your plate and work out how you are feeling by what's on it, you won't find that here.

I liked it. This book gives a glimpse into the French way of parenting. It turns out there is a lot to admire and emulate. The author did a good job of high-lighting the things that drive me crazy about what a lot of Americans moms tend to do (I'm guilty!), but in a light way. I don't see this book's premise as a another reason to feel bad as parents, though. I look at it as food for thought. Speaking of food, I've been introducing more variety w/ my kids (based on the French way),...voila! it worked!

The secret behind France's astonishingly well-behaved children is here. When American journalist Pamela Druckerman has a baby in Paris, she doesn't aspire to become a "French parent". French parenting isn't a known thing, like French fashion or French cheese. Even French parents themselves insist they aren't doing anything special. But French children are far better behaved and more in command of themselves than American kids....

The rules for living in the real world have changed, because the world we live in has changed. Much of the conventional wisdom the last generation has passed on just doesn't apply like it once did. Each day we face a barrage of images and messages from society and the media telling us who, what, and how we should be. We are led to believe that if we could only look perfect and lead perfect lives, we'd no longer feel inadequate. In Ungifted, cognitive psychologist Scott Barry Kaufman - who was relegated to special education as a child - sets out to show that the way we interpret traditional metrics of intelligence is misguided. Kaufman explores the latest research in genetics and neuroscience, as well as evolutionary, developmental, social, positive, and cognitive psychology, to challenge the conventional wisdom about the childhood predictors of adult success. He reveals that there are many paths to greatness, and argues for a more holistic approach to achievement that takes into account each young person’s personal goals, individual psychology, and developmental trajectory.
